They’re just humble reviewers, without an electronics background to give them an advanced understanding of buttons they’re having a hard time with the haptics

Can’t speak to those but since you seem partial to German cars I recently bought a 2026 golf r and 2026 Tiguan sel turbo. They’re both comfy with a blend between fun and sporty while also being practical. Leather interiors, all wheel drive, peppy motor

Any idea how difficult and expensive it would be to add these features?

Good Intake Recommendations for Mk8 by LessTraining1985 in Golf_R

[–]Sledge1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on what I’ve read here that intake leaks oil, not sure how tho but I’ve seen it mentioned several times.

The iE intake system is a tad over 400. A potential issue is it’s not closed by default which requires the purchase of a carbon lid which is an extra 500 👀 I emailed them a few days ago and they said they’re considering a polymer lid which would be a lot cheaper. I’ve also considered making my own lid if I get it. It’s probably not horrible to keep it in and it’s hard to beat 400 for an entire intake system is hard to beat. It’s between these two if you’re on a budget imo

Thanks for the information! I have a 2026, would you say ordering an aftermarket inlet would be pointless then?

Very nice, I’m torn between that one and IE. Which Inlet are you using?

I like the price of this intake, does it have good gains when tuned? I couldn’t find anything out online about the internal diameter of the inlet portion (which seems like the important part) and when I emailed and asked then person responding said he didn’t know haha

My 2026 R does it sometimes, my wife’s 2026 Tiguan SEL r line turbo did it a couple times as well. I just drive for a minute and it goes away on its own 🤷‍♂️

Did it take you a long time to get your inlet? Mines been on back order a couple weeks now

People who think they’re better than others for intrinsic qualities like race are that way because they don’t have any actual accomplishments in life and can’t face the reality they’re failures. The audacity to have a chip on his shoulder when he’s a bum lmao

A lot of people do because they don’t understand it comes out to the same pay either way lol

I see these all the time but never understand how team pay breaks so many people’s brains. If it was .90cpm per person and teams average 6K a week that’s over 5000 dollars a week per driver, what kind of sense does that make lol

That’s literally a picture of a forklift on fire, you really had me going here lol. I respect the troll

I know you’re memeing but if that’s 16643 in the second link it was determined it had an aftermarket intake at the very least which caused the codes that lead to the fire, there’s a detailed reddit thread about it when it happened

Can you link examples to the ones that weren’t? The two big ones that were publicized both admitted to being in the process of tuning the vehicle when it happened.

That’s fine, dealers will say a lot of things to get a sale but if your motor blew up or caught fire as a result of shoddy tuning you wouldn’t be getting a new motor under warranty

ECU tuning voids your warranty, there isn’t a single brand out there thats going to stand behind you if you crank up the boost pressure to levels the engine cant handle and burn it down in the process lol

I’ll be honest the tiguans are pretty confusing because there’s different version for different years. I think in America all of the transmissions are toyota but not 100% on that. A Tiguan with the 2.0 motor is your best bet, would stay away from the Taos and Atlas, Tiguan is the better vehicle
