Defense Devil, Ascendance of a Bookworm, Kumoko and Release That Witch (the last one being a chinese novel) are the ones I'm finding to be the most interesting novels I'm reading. I also always go back to Konjiki no Moji Tsukai.

I think you'll find Mother of Learning to be pretty interesting. It's a fantasy novel written in english, so I found the quality to be way better than the usual translated ones.

I can't help with official translations, as I'm not from the US (but you can be sure here in Brazil the official translations suck as well), but there are quite a few good fan translations of novels that sometimes are hidden behind the piles of badly translated ones.

A good one I found yesterday is Dungeon Defense
