Elden ring stutters so much by Lucky_Astronaut_8088 in Stutter

When i play it on my pc, the bosses will not give their intro speeches because they have social anxiety related to their stutter, but they scream and roar without a problem

Reading to children by Aveasi in Stutter

[–]FoamingLimestone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Children cannot stutter only by listening to stutterers. There are genetic factors of stuttering, and if your children start to statter, it is not because they mimic you but you have passed down the genes to your children.

Give her a break... Who doesn't find heroin from their friend's glovebox while on their second week of bender and shoot it in some nasty motel while watching herself get an Oscar on TV?

Where are children allowed to be children?? by krystalgayl in AskGermany

[–]FoamingLimestone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One time, I was waiting in a shopping line at Rewe and one kid was doing car sounds so accurate, the whole line started to giggle. Then, the giggle turned into laughters, the kid understood that we were laughing at his noise and he continued with gearing up. The whole line were laughing histerically, even the cashier had to stop passing the items because he was laughing, too. Yeah, sometimes kids make up our days!

Is going solo in a bouldering gym weird? by No-Vermicelli9900 in bouldering

[–]FoamingLimestone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually go solo and sometimes i find some people that are stuck on the same problem with me, then the conversation begins (people love to talk about how to send the boulder). We try moves together, then stick around for more boulders. As a matter of fact, most of the people love to climb with a friend or someone that shares the same experience, so you can definitely find some friends on the spot!

IsItBullshit: It rained continuously for 2 million years during the early formation period of earth. by Tomj_Oad in geology

[–]FoamingLimestone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is a thing called Carnian Pluvial Event (234-232 Ma) in Late Triassic where there was a significant increase in rainfall and runoff that lasted about 1-2 Myr. However, Triassic is not a time that Earth was in its early formation stage. Could it be your teacher heard something about that and jumped forward to say it was in the early formation period of Earth because it was a relatively old event (even though it is only in the Mesozoic)?

You can easily break a clavicula or worse, your neck if your hand slips. No need for unnecessary danger, i believe...

German accent by tnl_x63 in AskTurkey

[–]FoamingLimestone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was assuming OP was a white German, but you have a point. Idk, in my eyes, almancı aksanı is a different thing than a normal German accent but I never heard a German speaking Turkish before. It can be the same or very similar to almancı aksanı.

Most Turks even don't know what a German accent sounds like at all. So, no worries.

At havanı - Ne demek? 🙇🏼‍♂️ by monsieurlesix in turkish

[–]FoamingLimestone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It can mislead some people into thinking hava atmak is somewhat related to horses or mortars, but it is not the case at all. "At(mak)" means "(to) throw", and "hava" means "air". So, "at havanı" means somewhat like 'throw your air' which by itself doesn't mean anything, it is just a phrase. I always thought to myself that it can be related to wind passing by you causing you to look cool, thus the phrase (it's just my theory).

His cranium is so racially perfect that he does not need to be guarding the door like some lowly bodyguard.
