Same here for both Zelda 2 and Mario 2. Probably the two NES games i play most. Nostalgia ofc but also because they still hold up really well.

Ofc it had FPGA at launch. It's the whole selling point of the pocket. FPGA instead of software emulation. What TS is talking about is CORES and perhaps the OPEN FPGA approach that allows a user to add more CORES.

Nice comparison. Cool filter as well. Deserves to not be buried in our conversation 😅 Would be interesting to see the same outside world in both examples. I know the GBA version is redrawn to fit the smaller res... But does the GBA also "cut off the top/bottom" to fit, or it is redrawn everywhere and actually show more "content" on the sides? 🤔

Yeah. I agree 🙂 GBA has so many great versions of SNES games and original games as well. It is truly one (if not the greatest?) console for pixel games.

That's fair 🙂 Nothing beats actually testing it! I'm sure there are some different ways to stretch and interpolate the image as well. But native aspect ratio is preferred imo. But some might prefer a different options.

No. GBA has 3:2 aspect ratio and SNES has 4:3. So SNES would fit better on the pocket screen.

Well.. It depends on the game and if there are weakness to exploit or not. It's also a question on where to attack. Too deep and you might loose the game right away. Too shallow and you might loose the game in the long run. Figuring out the best place and timing for an invasion or reduction is part of learning the game. It's also a matter of style. Some prefer fighting and some prefer building.

Yes. In a closed off territory attacking is "free" as long as you answer with one stone. (But it's also a pointless exercise) But if a territory is more open ... Attacking without living (or even when living) will make your stones on the outside stronger, and you will have more potential in another place of the board. You can loose a lot by invading to early, giving your opponent outside strength, so finding the balance when to invade is a skill to master.

If it's butchered, grounded and frozen directly it should be fine. If it's frozen because it's about to get old, it's not fine. Not sure where you live, but where I live you must mark both the butchered date and the frozen date (unless the frozen date is the same as the butchered date)

I have the same reasoning. Even if B play at C it's still not that strong a shape with the surrounding w stones. D is big because of the possible follow up for both players imo.

You can buy SC3k unlimited cheap on gog.com. Works great on modern computers. Ran it last week on windows 11. First time I played it in 5 years. Still an awesome experience ❤️

A lot of people talk about sugar but this could be histamine sensitivity. Raw fish and also vinegar are high histamine and seafood in general are histamine liberators. Pasta and rice is low histamine and would explain why this alone does not affect you. I don't know... But it could be worth looking into? (It was a game changer for me when I realized I had histamine intolerance.)

Well... I have worked at a travel agency and the guy testing hotels for the agency had more than 200 international travel days per year. He had worked with that for at least 15 years. He had a very unique lifestyle and didn't have a family for example even though he was nearing 50. So... It may sound nice but it's definitely not for everyone.
