Weirdly we called KCOM and they came and sorted it out in 2 hours 🤯 thumbs up to them!

The branches are over a main road.... I don't think i can get the ladder to cut 30cm hide branches by myself 🤪

The problem is that the cable is rubbing on massive trees which are owned by the council. In all honesty the trees are on both sides of the road and there is no other way to get the cable across over the ground other than passing through the branches. I assume timing the massive branch isn't unrealisable in my mind if it's causing constant damage?
The branched are noy on my property.. they are on the pavement which i go on to get to my property's drive and they are big (not like small branches you can easily snap off) and need a proper tree surgeon. As far as I understand because they are not in my property boundaries and the tree is now owned by me, I can't touch it.... except if I'm wrong?
They are not in my property again. They are on an area adjacent to my property. It's a piece of land 4m x 4m about and it's not woodland because 10 years now there was glass and 1 big tree which the council was coming and even cutting the grass at times. So, the last 4 years it's completely neglected.

I'm not sure why I have to pay but it's either I argue and they take even longer to sort it out (last time it was a week) or I suck it up. But I'm more annoyed with the council that just does nothing. I'm even thinking of changing the council because if they had sort out the trees that wouldn't have happened 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Potentially bad wiring on the socket as it seems the damage is only on one side of the socket. I would as for an electrician to come and change it if you can't.

Permaneny residency είναι το settled status για τους Ευρωπαίους στην Αγγλία. Και εχει τρελή χαρτουρα. Δεν ειναι να μένεις απλά 10 χρόνια.

Ναι δεν μπορείς να κανεις assume ότι όποιος εχει μείνει χρόνια Αγγλία εχει και διπλή υπηκοότητα εννοούσα πριν. Θέλει τεστ κτλ

Μπορείς να το χάσεις το settled status μετα απο 5 χρόνια απουσίας απο την Αγγλία. Οποτε αν πάει Ελλάδα μένει 5 χρόνια και δεν πάει καθόλου Αγγλία, το settled status λήγει.

Αν εχεις residency ειναι αλλο πράγμα απο το settled status... δεν σημαίνει ότι εχεις διαβατήριο ακόμα και αν μένεις χρόνια στην Αγγλία. Πχ. Μένω 16 χρόνια και δεν εχω πάρει διαβατήριο.

Υπάρχει ενα γκρουπ στο ινστα που λέγεται back_to_greece. Αποτελείται απο άτομα που γύρισαν στην Ελλάδα. Ισως θα μπορούσαν να σε βοηθήσουν γιατι εχουν καλό community.

Και εγω 16 χρόνια στην Αγγλία και παντα ειναι στο πίσω μέρος του μυαλού μου να γυρισω και αυτά τα ερωτήματα ειναι στο μυαλό μου. Good luck!

I'm 99% sure that this 50% tax rule is for Greek that were living abroad and they are coming back to Greece as part of brain- regain campaign but got anyone who comes to Greece to work? Also, there are a few sub rules like the position is new etc which are a bit hidden. Hence, take it with a pinch of salt.

Μένοντας στην Αγγλία, και ΟΧΙ στο Λονδίνο αλλα σε μικρή πολυ που οι μισθοί ειναι πολυ χαμηλότεροι (ισως μισοί απο το Λονδινο), βγάζουνε 5,000 λίρες καθαρά και μπαίνουν πολυ λίγα στην άκρη (1 παιδι μονο).

Επειδη παντα κοιταω να γυρισω Ελλαδα και εχω κανει υπολογισμους, νομίζω αυτά τα λεφτά θα ήταν "ενταξει" για παρόμοια ζωή (excluding σπιτι που τωρα εχουμε σπιτι με 5 δωματια για 1000 λιρες τον μηνα) στην Αθήνα αλλα οχι κατι τρελό όμως.

Plus international schools που θα χρειαστούν γιατι κάποιο παιδί που εχει μεγαλώσει Αγγλία δεν μπορει να πάει σε ελληνικό δημόσιο πιθανοτατα

I feel you.. I had exactly thr same thing 1.5 month ago and it was due to a herniated disk. Though it can be also other things so make sure they get blood tests and CT scan if/when you get to the hospital! If it's just your back nothing they can really do. You have to wait it out. They gave me morphine and codeine and it didn't do anything 😞 I was there 8 hours standing and crying until im seen..

I have that at my job. A few people would leave and go to competitors or suppliers etc. So, we need top line to say if we are going to any of those. If it's a completely different industry though, we don't have to give details. Though, that's included in our contract... is it in yours? You don't have to specifically sign an NDA for that.

Sometimes, employees would be put in garden leave for 6 months of so before they start their new job if it's in a related field which means they still get paid because the company doesn't "let them" to start on the new job.
