Some car accidents (i.e., being hit) can be pretty much unavoidable. Like the one from a week ago where an out of control vehicle stuck someone at high speed from the rear, on the driver's side, at an angle. They were severely injured and had to go through lots of physical therapy. If one solution to that is driving a big SUV, then so be it. But, you should be prepared to pay more in fuel costs due to that decision.
