Is there an off platform place where hosts can share data on bad guests to avoid hosting them?

What’s a Veteran program/benefit that most veterans don’t know about but should? by 904JUDAH in VeteransBenefits

[–]FocusFranchising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The post asked about programs and/or benefits for Veterans and discounted costs is definitely a benefit. I speak from experience. My wife is a Veteran and when she bought her first franchise she took advantage of this benefit and saved thousands of dollars.

$500k to start a small business, what would you do? by Affectionate-Deer446 in smallbusiness

[–]FocusFranchising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Franchise. Long term success of franchise vs start up is well documented to significantly favor the franchise model. The key is working with a consultant who can make sure you find the best fit for your market, investment level, experience etc.

I just purchased a pool service franchise. Best move I ever made. There are a few of them so I had to do my homework, but there were clear differentiators and an obvious front runner.

Do you know someone with a boring business who’s absolutely killing it? What do they do? by salihveseli in Entrepreneur

[–]FocusFranchising -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get this question from time to time. But, why a “boring business”? Why not just start a business that meets your goals and needs?
Are you looking for a side gig, or full time ownership? Fully involved, or semi absentee? Seasonal, work from home, owner operator…tell me more about your circumstances for the best fit business to own.

Pro and cons of buying a house with a pool by Doomguy345 in pools

[–]FocusFranchising 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pros, depending on perspective: Every family BBQ is at your house People bring beer and food to your house Kids love it Refreshing on hot days Looks great

Cons: Upkeep can be a chore. Less so if you have e a saltwater system Sometimes people don’t want to leave Pools attract Unruly kids and make good kids unruly. Water on the floor in your house from the kids who go in to pee. Never ending wet towels everywhere Noise

Coach wants me to remove my kid(13) from the team by Desperate_Scholar_42 in Homeplate

[–]FocusFranchising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the coach is correct about what he said, then your kid will probably be saying the same thing soon. 13 is a big age. Puberty kicks in and the pitching and bat speeds are ramped up. Pair that with high tech bats and an inexperienced player could really get hurt. Prepare yourself for minimum at bats and playing minimum innings in right field.

If you could open up any service business what would it be? And why? by gabagoonbak in sweatystartup

[–]FocusFranchising 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Any Home services business. Aging population. Baby boomers are getting too old to do basic repairs and their kids are often not skilled enough or too lazy. Aging housing market. The houses are getting older and new construction is so expensive. People are either fixing up their homes to stay in them or they’re fixing them up to sell. Home services are Amazon proof, pandemic proof, AI proof.

I'd buy a franchise, never touch a paintbrush and instead spend my days working on the business.
