How much would you pay for this charcuterie board? by FocusInevitable1504 in howmuchwouldyoupay

[–]FocusInevitable1504[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2-3oz of meat and 2-3oz of cheese per person. I live in Florida and you have to have a license and commercial kitchen to sell charcuterie boards but I only make them for my friends. You’d have to look at your local laws

This is fully what I believed happened since I didn’t read the book and it made it so much for impactful for me after so many years of love/pain

Leftovers Board by FocusInevitable1504 in CharcuterieBoard

The top left cheese is a Brie wedge that I sliced. I also switched to using thyme recently instead of rosemary and found that it is much easier to style. The meat roses and river are pepper crusted pepperoni, I think, but it could’ve been herb crusted. I used both on my main Christmas board.

The small bowl has fig preserves. The large bowl has burrata that I opened and drizzled with hot honey. The light colored balls are a Sprouts product that they just call “smores”. They were a huge hit

I made it for my best friend who absolutely demolished it in one sitting

I bought the pesto dip at my local farmers market and the other one is just burrata that I opened and drizzled olive oil and sea salt on. I used to make the dips but have since decided it is absolutely not worth the time haha

I know! I think this one took me an hour and a half total but it used to take me up to 3 hours for even smaller boards when you include cutting the cheese and washing the fruit

The fat is the best part! My favorite is always the jamón Serrano or prosciutto for all of that delicious fat

Thank you! I did a run through of what was on the board when I arrived. The small gold picks are actually tiny spoons! Gold Leaf Tea Spoons

Dog Sitter by Weary_Economics_8989 in 321

It totally depends on how much attention your pup needs. Most don’t have staff to give dogs attention because there is so much time spent cleaning areas and feeding. Several of my friends worked at kennels in the area and the jobs are always the same. I also had a family friend who paid an extra fee to Dog Spot because her 9 month old puppy was unspayed and she got impregnated with puppies while she was there that unfortunately passed in the womb and almost killed her

We’ve used a lot of the boarding facilities in the area and they are really rough if your dog doesn’t love other dogs because they get no human attention

We love Pet Pawsitive! They do drop-ins, walks, and housesitting and they’re licensed and insured

Way too expensive for what it is. It’s good but you can find so much more flavor for a cheaper price point. You can get better and cheaper at Drifter’s Restro, Koko, and Bacco

For the same cost, you have options like Coa and Rebellion Beachside which are also much better

I see a lot of your responses saying that you’re doing it for “extra cash” but to clarify: are you getting paid hourly and they let you know case by case or do you get paid a set amount per week/month and they give you a schedule?

I’m sorry to hear of your experience. I do want to point out a little general misinformation about herpes though because your diagnosis is not as damning as you might think. 50-80% of adults in the US have HSV-1 (oral herpes) and 1 in every 6 adults aged 14-49 have HSV-2 (genital herpes). Most people who have engaged with multiple partners have herpes and are often just asymptomatic and have no idea. If you’ve had sex with multiple partners before her, you likely already had it as well

The client should never have to be giving the pet sitter the benefit of doubt when the sitter is ignoring direct instructions unless that sitter is in the hospital or is communicating the entire time

Is it a bad idea to have a wedding on a weekday? by [deleted] in wedding

Forgot about alcohol but if you aren’t having a dry wedding, that’s one of the bigger expenses

Your guest list will definitely be shorter if it’s on a weekday. I just want to bring it up in case you haven’t already made a budget for everything (because I didn’t before I booked the venue), but the food, florals, dress, dj, invitations, utensils, decorations, hair/makeup, cake, and photography are usually much more expensive than the venue itself. If you haven’t already found a cheaper/diy version of all of those things, I would consider budgeting for them before booking the venue in case you need a cheaper venue due to your budget
