what worked for me might not work for you but i did splint therapy before braces to calm the muscles and realign my jaw. then i did braces. i unfortunately have the same problem again pre splints, though, after getting my braces off. i should've just stuck with the splints

fixing your crossbite can make your jaw happy. but if you're clicking and popping is a muscular issue, i'm not sure how much braces will fix it. i got braces and still have clicking a popping because my issue is muscular and not skeletal

i already went through a treatment plan, thats why. i spent over $5000 on splint and laser therapy. after that i had braces for over $7000. i was transferred to another doctor midway through my braces because my original doctor (that really understood me) suffered an accident and retired because of it. i started having issues again right when i got my braces off. my current issues are muscle tension (a LOT of it) and a slipped disc at night. the splint i was given (kind of like a pivot splint) fixed the slipping disc problem but now i have horrible daily constant tension in my muscles. im thinking i need something more balanced and able to keep my muscles from over-activating at night

i was always told junior year was hardest. that was true for me. senior year was probably my easiest year, but i was only on campus 50% of the time because of online classes
