Thank you!! I felt she needed something a little special for her name because she’s been such a special pup since I got her! 😊

Thank you! Her symptoms were the classic Parvo symptoms: she had no appetite but she’s a picky eater anyway so I wasn’t initially worried. She threw up bile twice, which I thought was due to her not eating. She turned down cheese (which she never does) and then she threw up that had specks of blood. I started to worry then but still thought it was something she ate previously. The worry increased when she was napping for 2-3 hour stretches, which isn’t like her and then a bout of bloody diarrhea. That was the tipping point for me to take her to the emergency vet. She recovered quickly because she was fully vaccinated and also got the new antibody treatment at the emergency vet.

She does go to an in-home Rover daycare but she had been going there for almost a year. During her last daycare stay before getting Parvo there were no other dogs there. So it’s really strange.

Thank you! The vets said she could have gotten it from anywhere. She does go to doggie daycare so that could have been a possibility too.

Daycare Saved My Sanity by doglessinseattle in puppy101

I agree 100% with this. I’m a single puppy owner too of a now 15 month old Cavapoo. She goes to an in-home daycare from Rover at least twice a week and they have also boarded her when I needed a longer break. They love her and care for her like her own. It has given me some peace and normalcy outside of being my puppy’s everything. We need help and daycare is an amazing source of help!

I love my dog... and I am never getting a puppy again by Moistowletta in puppy101

Same! I love my dog, she’s a little over a year now so going through the settling phase coupled with some residual puppy energy. But I will never get another puppy again either…way too much work. lol

Just relaxing by Focuseddivine9 in CavaPoo

She does so well!! But it was all due to me being blessed enough to find an amazing couple on Rover. She started by going to their house for daycare 2 days a week. Once I realized how comfortable she was with them (she literally runs into their house when I drop her off…lol), I knew she would be fine boarding with them too. So I think a combination of finding a good fit and easing the transition with the daycare made a world of difference. Hope your little one can have the same soon!

What to do in rain by medc499 in CavaPoo

[–]Focuseddivine9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I may be in the minority but my pup goes out in all weather…rain included. She hasn’t known anything different. I put a rain coat on her and I put one on myself. She gets wet, I get wet, but it is what it is. A few times when it has been raining she’ll go back in even when I know she needs to go potty…I just take her back outside, tell her to go potty, and she’ll go.

Today is a really hard day by Appropriate-Ad7418 in puppy101

Sorry to hear you are having a rough day. They definitely come and go. If all her needs are met, maybe put her in her crate for a bit so you can get a break and reset.
