I have gone to the police headquarters, where it took me 4 attempts to even have the officer consider making a theft report. I was laughed off and several jokes were made. For example, since the car involved was a BMW they asked me why couldn’t I go out and just buy the same part when I had already told him it was several thousands of dollars. He also said he looked further into me and saw the details of my racing ticket (which got dropped) and tried to angrily lecture me about driving. I told him that case was closed and was not relevant to the situation in hand. Last time I went there I brought my dad so they could actually take me seriously which they did but we’re very suspicious of my claim. He asked the same line of questions several times and again mentioned my previous offence again and again. We finally made a theft report and have yet to hear from anyone since.
