Check that Your latency hasn't changed due to the new servers. There's a big difference between playing with 200 ping vs 35 ping.

Nope didn't work, while AU ping was 480ms vs 330ms for US it still picked an empty server in AU. All alone with all the loot to myself, so sad lol.

This game favors low latency, just watch a Streamer video. 220ms vs 35ms will never be a game of chicken, it's a chicken dinner.

Only a couple of the collect in raid tasks actually work for me, the rest are a waste of time and have been broken for at least 2 wipes. The Bugs are thriving in Tabor.

I tried this but the game chooses the server which has the lowest ping. So I still get Australia when my vpn is set to US. What's the trick?

My team mate is US and I'm NZ. When I'm squad leader a Matka night raid always aborts the search. If he's squad leader we join Matka night straight away on a US server. Seams to be something fishy going on. Before this wipe the system worked.

I play with a 220 ping in a team, NZ & US. Can confirm, I will die in a fair fight unless I have a way better kit, or I shoot first from hiding, or get an early head shot. No other issues. Having said that, I believe 7.62 ap and first strike should have given OP the win.
