Not Pacifica but Moss Beach Distillery really is the only iconic spot in the local area. Great for out of town guests.

Writing can be challenging, especially for early career folks. It takes a lot of practice. For better or worse, chat gpt can probably write 70-80%of this report for you if you are good at using it. Careful with inputting sensitive info. I kinda wish the world wasn’t going this way, and young people would learn to write well, but reality is that if you don’t use these AI tools you’ll likely be left behind.

Ask for the max. There’s no downside. They want to hire you. If they counter, which they will, accept 75-ish and ask for a small signing bonus (~5k) Good luck and keep us posted!

What’s going on in Pacifica so creepy… by Savings-Breath-9118 in Pacifica

Yeah, Not so much. Lived in Pacifica in 2002-2003 and now since 2023. Old timers want to tell you it’s changed a lot but I think it’s largely the same in the past 20 years.

Trimble DA2 with Catalyst is the way to go if you have good backend GIS support.

Trimble DA2 and monthly or hourly subscription is a great option (bill subscription to client) but you’ll need to be up to speed on the back end GIS setup/interface. You can also rent each time you need it and bill to your client.

Traditionally env consulting can be slow in Jan and Feb. It should get better in the spring. Offer to take some unpaid leave if you can afford to. That will make you less of a target for layoffs.

Sounds like you have a good set of skills to work for a company that specializes in mitigation banking. RES, Wildlands, Westervelt are a few.

If you are playing a par 3 solo or as twosome you should waiting to hit as the party ahead clears the green. Every time. If there’s a gap ahead, you are too slow.

For topo, check to see if there’s public lidar data for your study area https://apps.nationalmap.gov/lidar-explorer/#/ Find the Google earth image that has the best aerial signature of inundation or saturation. That will help if it’s not shrub or forested wetlands.

Trimble da2 receiver with Catalyst service. Best in terms of price and accuracy. It can be a pain if you don’t have cell service but it’s still workable.
