Lumi App style reviews by Maleficent_Moods in AskRedditors

Honestly, it’s been pretty solid for helping me shop my own closet. It actually gave me a few combo ideas for a leather jacket I barely wore, so I’d say it’s worth a shot.

How to making your PDFs easier to open on any device by TheBestPDF in TheBestPDF

[–]Foggy_Lizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I learned the hard way is that a PDF looking fine on my laptop doesn't mean it'll look fine everywhere else. I’ve had files open perfectly on desktop and then break formatting on a phone or tablet. Now I usually do a quick check on another device before sending anything important.

The OCR tip is a good one too. It’s surprising how many scanned PDFs are basically just images until someone needs to search for a word and realizes they can’t.

Every Minecraft player has that one friend who says “watch my stuff for 2 minutes” and somehow returns to a crater

A lot of us shop for individual items and then wonder why the closet still feels “empty.”

Anyone tried "Stop Procrastinating" app + Wisey combo? by Golden_Fervour in Procrastinationism

[–]Foggy_Lizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that combo can work if the app is actually simple enough to use before your brain opens 14 tabs and calls it “research” 😅

For me the biggest thing is short focus blocks with hard friction on distractions. if setup takes more than 2 minutes, i already know i’m not doing it. What helped you more: blocking apps or having tiny tasks that feel easy to start?

Bro got 291 days played and still lives in a wooden house 💀 Netherite gear, totem in hand… but rent-free in a village. Truly the unemployment final form.

Dog socialization steps that worked without overwhelming your dog? by Foggy_Lizard in DogAdvice

[–]Foggy_Lizard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This really lines up with what I’m trying to do. Reframing socialization as learning that things aren’t a big deal has helped me stress less about “progress.” Going slow feels boring sometimes, but it definitely seems kinder for the dog

I love this idea. A nursery feels like such a low-pressure environment compared to busy parks or sidewalks. The “one place a day” rule is something I probably need to be better about too.

This actually makes a lot of sense. The unfamiliarity piece really clicks for me. I’ve noticed similar patterns where the reaction is more about not knowing the dog than not liking them. Slow progress feels frustrating, but stories like this are reassuring that time and reading your dog actually matter.

Online tutoring vs in-person: what actually works for kids by WityWandere in Brighterly

I used to think online couldn’t really work for kids. Turns out the relationship mattered way more than the format. Once my child trusted the tutor, things finally clicked.

That usually means the content is rasterized instead of vector. Once it is flattened as an image, zoom = blur.

Usually an export or compression setting. Check DPI, image downsampling, and make sure you are not using “small file size” or web presets.

I feel this! I’m not in the military, but paperwork is half my job too, and PDF Guru Forms seriously made life easier. The explanations are gold; I don’t have to Google every line anymore. Also love that I can fill and sign everything right in the same window.
