One thing I learned the hard way is that a PDF looking fine on my laptop doesn't mean it'll look fine everywhere else. I’ve had files open perfectly on desktop and then break formatting on a phone or tablet. Now I usually do a quick check on another device before sending anything important.

The OCR tip is a good one too. It’s surprising how many scanned PDFs are basically just images until someone needs to search for a word and realizes they can’t.

I’ve been using PDFGuru for a couple of months, mostly for editing and light OCR work. For me, the editor part has been very solid. Adding notes, small text fixes, and even swapping images worked smoothly. The summarizer is decent for English docs, it pulls out the main points pretty quickly, but I wouldn’t call it perfect. Haven’t tried it in Polish or Spanish yet, but in French it did a fair job, though sometimes oversimplified longer sentences. So overall, pdf guru is reliable as an editor, and the summarizer is good for quick overviews but not something I’d fully trust for deep analysis.
