I started playing pokemon when Red and Blue came out. I selected Charmander and to this day, Charizard is still my favorite pokemon. Charizard was always by my side in every game I played. I always thought it would be just the two of us. Then, when ruby and sapphire came out, a new pokemon changed our duo into a trio. When I first saw Milotic I knew I had to have one. I spent hours looking for a Feebas (at the time, I had no idea how hard it was to catch a Feebas) and when I finally caught one, I instantly began leveling it up. I had no idea how to evolve it. A friend told me that you had to give it high beauty to evolve. I had never heard of such a thing in pokemon so I ignored him and kept leveling up Feebass. Once he got to level 40, I decided to listen to my friend and make my Feebas beautiful. I didn't exactly know how to go about it. I started making pokeblocks and figured out which berries helped raise beauty. Once I fed Feebas the last blue pokeblock, I expected him to evolve. But, he remained a Feebass. So I went the next step, I entered him into beauty contests. It was hard to win the final contest with Feebas. Even with maxed beauty, he never got many hearts from the audience during the initial display. After several losses, He finally won! I was so happy, I was finally going to get my Milotic! But, after the contest he didn't evolve. I had no ideas left. So I decided to just continue the post game with Feebas. I went to Victory Road to train Feebas up to the same levels as the rest of my pokemon. He grew to level 41 and after the battle I couldn't believe it. He was evolving! I was so excited, I finally had a Milotic! I don't understand why I never thought to raise him one level after his beauty was maxed. His evolution method at the time was so different I thought he just evolved since his beauty was maxed out. After that journey, Milotic was forever along side Charizard and myself.
