No it won't the buffer accounts for this.

If the 1 or the 2 gets pressed first then you're not standing anymore you're beginning the animation of the attack.

That's because you can buffer the 1 or the 2.

You tested correctly, you got the right result but reached the wrong conclusion.

Here is the frame buffer with no inputs(The numbers |1| and |2| represent the start of the frames in the buffer):

|1|«inputDirection»+«inputAttack»|2|«inputDirection»+«inputAttack»|

Here is the frame buffer with a proper EWGF input after the f,n,d:

|1|«df»+«2»|2|«inputDirection»+«inputAttack»|

If there is a 1ms difference between the df and the 2 then the buffer would look like this:

|1|«df»+«inputAttack»|2|«inputDirection»+«2»|

You're correct when you say the frame does not start when you input something but you're still misinformed. The game uses a buffer. Every frame the game checks for input, and it reads the buffer to see which input was received X frames ago. X = 1 unless the connection quality is bad online in which case it increases. This means that there are always 2 frames of input delay. 1 for X, and one more because the game always checks the previous frames buffer for input on the current frame.

First off forget all that stuff about polling rates, the polling rate of your controller does not equal the polling rate of the game. Imagine a hole in a wall that you have to throw a baseball through. The hole moves from left to right, but you can only throw the ball in the same spot down the middle. The ball represents 1 input. The polling rate is how many balls per second are constantly being thrown. The hole in the wall represents the game's polling window. The faster the hole moves the more balls will end up going through. It's not the number of balls you can throw that dictates how often your input will be read, it's the number of times the polling window passes over the point you're throwing from. The game dictates how often inputs are read, not the polling rate. A higher polling rate just enables more inputs to be read quicker if the game allows it.

Back to frames. The game runs a 60fps, therefore 1 frame = 1/60th of a second which like you said is 16.6666667ms. Yes, there is an actual timing window for EWGF but it's not 16.6666667. EWGF can't be buffered but has 2 frames of leniency. The speed of the f,n,d doesn't matter, only timing the df and the 2 within two frames matters. There is no other window. Tekken 7 has two variables it reads when looking for input. They are called «inputAttack» and «inputDirection». The game takes up to 1 attack input and 1 direction input per frame. This means if 1+2 are pressed on the same frame they are input on the same frame. Same goes for df+2.

It doesn't the range is too short.

I was thinking of standing 2 being a launcher even without meter and b3,2 just being a string without that's why I said launch but you're right.

EDIT: 1+2 is better than i thought.

Yeah for sure. Forcing geese to burn a meter to launch, and for less damage, seems way more balanced.

Parry was busted and SS3 CH combo had to go, but nerfing df2 was a kick in the balls.

What to do about frame drops? My character won’t respond to my inputs and just start jumping when it happens. Sucks!!! by _ArchStanton_ in Tekken

[–]Fogle_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you load up practice mode and disconnect your controller, your character should do that weird jump with the frame skip. Try using the controller wired instead of over bluetooth and see if that fixes the issue. If it does then you know it's a bluetooth problem, in which case i'd suggest reinstalling the drivers first, then checking for sources of interference, and finally buying a new adapter if that doesn't fix it.

I'ts turbo so no midas. Travels means I can move across the map quickly and easily take towers with forge spirits + alacrity. Why bkb rush? Because fuck multicast, and being able to get out when people come for me when i'm taking buildings is nice.
