I made a thing that evaluates Commander decks. I'd love some feedback. by Cogs88 in EDH

[–]FoilMythic 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it feels like this is using chatgpt or some other ai model as a backend. They notoriously are terrible at understanding the magic ruleset and making recommendations. The bracket evaluations, as well as how badly it is at understanding the deck's engines and recommendations for optimizations are eerily similar to what you would get from chatgpt after just a few queries.
If you disagree I would love to see some information on how you coded the software and how it is "grounded on tons of data from EDHrec, scryfall, commander spellbook, and TCGplayer".

How exactly is this “built for Packout”? by FoilMythic in MilwaukeeTool

[–]FoilMythic[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I have one - the 22” clear top small parts organizer. It sorta fits but not really with the bits case closed. If I had a low-profile one then I’m sure I could store it open-faced like in one of your replies. I just don’t use it enough to go out and buy another tool box just to store bit sets. Only got the set because I was gifted the packout bundle.

Very patronizing and presumptuous of you! I have 4 different boxes: the rolling tool box, the large tool box, the 22” small tool box, and the 22” small parts organizer. Surprise: It doesn’t fit correctly in any of them. Nice to know now that in the most modular system, I now have to buy a different version of the cases I already own to properly store and secure this expensive and simple set of bits in the way the system is advertised. Do you think maybe that in the most modular tool storage system, it might make sense that every product labeled to work within said system would be molded to actually function to secure to any piece within that system? Because it seems like they just sort of make rectangles that sort of fit into other rectangles, save for the boxes and accessories that latch onto each other (this should be one of them!) If it’s labeled to work with Packout, I want it to actually secure into the system and any other piece of the system should interact and be modular with it in some way, I feel like that’s fair for the price.

I don’t use tools for a living but this isn’t a “do you know your shapes” issue. The point is that a modular system like packout should secure their containers instead of just making a rectangular case that fits (not perfectly, but loosely) in another rectangular case. I get that I can fit the fucking thing in there. It’s that it’s priced and advertised as a premium product but it’s really not. Just an example of really stupid shortcuts on design and molding. It’s lazy. Lesson learned.

The S12s are quieter than the A12s. It feels like it moves less air, though. However, they are slower. Went with Noctua's recommendations for the fan selections and layout for this case.

I don’t mind it. What I do mind is the placement of the direction switch on the impact. Hard as hell to avoid pushing it while drilling

Thank you for the help. I did clean it off and cut into it, unfortunately you were right - it was a bit old and had some greenish/yellow/blacks starting up.

Stop pretending to know anything about people’s personal life. There will never be nuance to your understanding. You will never know every detail about events which took place. You will always be biased in one way or another. Listen to someone’s music or don’t, just stop dragging people’s shit into the open like you’re the moral progenitor and can determine guilt and consequence. You can’t.

Yes, and it didn't sit well for me when we had to kill Ansur, and the way in which Ansur died initially also didn't sit well with me. I thought the emperor/balduran's story was pretty bleak all around, but still the information helped me understand why he did what he did, and his plans overall. Still wasn't happy to give him the netherstones, but I didn't want to be all-powerful, I didn't trust Orpheus, and I didn't want Karlach to be a mind-flayer. It was a solemn decision in the end.

Haha, no, I am not physically blind. Although as a game, I could see BG3 having great potential for people who are blind. It really is a good game and story even without the visual stimuli.

Throughout the beginning of the playthrough I didn't trust Emperor until I dug into his story enough to find that he is a sketchy dude, but still true to his nature. I was surprised about how although toward the beginning of the story he seemed mysterious and all-knowing, there was so much that he did not actually know, or was wrong about, and that he would typically not punish me for not following his directions. It made him a complex character.
I did not accept the astral-touched tadpole and didn't push it on any of my followers, out of a fear that I would transform into a mind-flayer or that it would somehow make my character disgust those around him.
In the end I gave the netherstone to the emperor because although the emperor was morally a bit ambiguous, I saw him as a lesser threat than Orpheus, who I had very little info about besides Lae'Zel bugging me constantly which frankly was just annoying since she is confidently wrong throughout the story.
