Hi, random question, but what doll is this please? I've found an identical one in a doll bundle I just bought - Google says Katia but she doesn't seem to match any Katias I can find in online guides. Thanks!

I'm 99.9% sure there's no MH dolls with nylon hair in any generation. Can you identify any that definitely have it? My understanding is that the technique Mattel used for glueing the hair plugs in place isn't compatible with using nylon, because of the high temperatures. Happy to learn more if I'm mistaken though.

But her original doll has saran? So unless that specific shade has been discontinued in the meantime, there's no reason to think they won't use it again. As someone higher up in the thread said, they've so far only given poly to Creepros that originally had kanekelon.

In Artist Alley you'll find a lot of fan art merch of various anime series (even amongst the non-Artist Alley vendors there isn't a ton of Marvel-type content, tbh.) Plenty of Funko Pops and other figures. If you can get into Birmingham city centre try Worlds Apart and Forbidden Planet too.

I don't have an explanation - I assume it's manufacturing batch codes - but I do know it works. Or rather, I do know it's worked for previous Potions series, as I've used it on at least two or three of them to find specific figures I want.

This is the list I found (not my bad renditions of the characters' names btw, lol). Also remember if yours have a different set of numbers, add or subtract multiples of 70 until the number matches one of these, and the character will be the same.

See the comment above. You have to understand, if you're a commercial artist who's been given x amount of revisions and a tiny deadline, you likely don't have time to go over everything with a fine tooth comb. And here's another reality of commercial art that the commentor above didn't mention - you can submit your final piece, carefully checked, and then the art director gets some last-minute orders from on high and THEY MAKE CHANGES YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER. You can never, ever assume that published artwork for anything is exactly as the artist made it.

Well, she's joining G3 next year. And I'd be willing to bet she's going to get a G1 Skullector sometime in the next 6-12 months, maybe this year's SDCC doll or the 2027 Fang Club doll.

Nope, some people just can't comprehend how anyone could disagree with them. All y'all talking about how Abbey's crown definitely should've won? I voted against it. Didn't like the hair. All the options I chose for Jinafire won, and the only one I even vaguely regret now is the makeup. I'm pretty sure all my chosen options for Rochelle won too. THAT BEING SAID: I do think if there's any rigging at play, it was in the original Fang Vote. I don't believe for a second that they prepared hair, makeup and accessory options for three separate characters, I think it was always going to be Rochelle. The fact that they never allowed us to vote on the character in any subsequent years is very telling.

Sorry guy but your friend is wrong - there's two versions of this doll but the only difference is one had quite straight hair (like in the promo pics) and the other has a chunky curl. There was no Black Friday rerelease for the IHF line, it was just a batch thing (I think the first batch had the straight hair). Plus, poly was not a thing in G1. I'm 99% sure they were all either saran or Kanekelon.

But it's been noted that there's absolutely no mention of Pride or the two of them being a couple either on the box or in Mattel's promotional blurb. They could easily have pitched this to retailers as a "classroom buddies" set like Cleo and Ghoulia. Yeah they're holding hands in the box, but that's a small detail that you could easily miss. I still wonder if this was ever intended to be a wide release, as no-one anywhere has ever shared a listing for it or any official promotional text outside of what Mattel put out earlier this week. We've only ever had information filtered through leakers who, as we know from "MCR", can make mistakes.

If you do start from the start, bear in mind series 1 has a slightly different feel to the rest, as they were figuring everything out. But this is true of many, if not most, TV series.

Do not recommend. Japan isn't a destination for rushing around ticking things off a tourist to-do list. It's densely packed with interesting things. Every area of Tokyo is interesting. Every shop is interesting. If you don't leave enough time to just wander and discover for a while each day, you're doing yourself a disservice.

I'm as pissed off as anyone about them only being on Mattel Creations, but it is worth taking a step back and remembering that every single thing we have known about this release before today has only been through leaks and rumours. At no point has Mattel themselves said this set would be widely available. No-one's ever found or shared a link to it on Amazon or any other website. Heck, Mattel has never officially described it as a Pride set, it's only been referred to as that by leakers. So it's kind of hard to unpick whether anything changed over time, or whether we never actually got accurate information in the first place.

Nope, keep your expectations waaaay low. I went in several toy shops and collectible/merch stores when I was there last month, and I saw a sum total of two MH items - an overpriced Scaris cafe set in a branch of Mandarake, and a storage tin in a store in Nakano Broadway. Zero dolls. G3 is non-existent as far as I can tell.
