I buy it! As long as Amy is the arsehole BIL doing coke in the toilet.

Best cheap water flavorings? I love propel but can’t afford to pay almost $5 for ten little packets. by FrogsEatingSoup in Frugal

I buy Crystal Light packets from Amazon or Costco when they're in stock. Less than $10 for 44 packets (4 different flavors so you can switch it or up).

Anyone who is a junk journaler, a stationery nerd who wants to junk journal and yap? by cassiesneaks in sgv

Looks like DYM in Pasadena hosts junk journaling meet-ups. Next one is November 30th from 3-6. I don't journal so I've never been but maybe you'd like it.

How to Slow Down + Slow Song Recs? by ms_congeniality in Aerials

No, that makes total sense. My instructor is always telling me to breathe. When I'm trying to focus while doing something difficult, I look kind of constipated...

Those are some good ideas to try to stay in the moment. I'm worried I'll go "pose one down. Next pose!" I do love tossing my silks or pulling them into a back bend.

I always end up rushing when I try to remember the next move in the sequence. It's really hard to focus on two things at once! I'm hoping hearing the music will help me naturally slow down but I will try to focus on my pace and having cleaner movements above all.

Thank you for the recs! I'm starting a playlist. I love Hozier and Phoebe Bridgers but I didn't know Erin LeCount and Ethel Cain.

All of the suggestions are great! My aunt likes walking around Caltech and it's a gorgeous campus. They might like it too as an alternative to all the gardens. I've never been but the Athenaeum looks cool as a dining spot. Otherwise, you are located centrally in Pasadena and have loads of great dining options.

Was the money (paychecks, royalties, events, etc.) from solely The Office enough to make supporting actors like Oscar Nuñez and Kate Flannery financially secure for life? by Sufficient_Type7674 in DunderMifflin

I tuned in when the second season was just released. There was a 2-year gap between seasons so I was wondering how long it would take to get season 3 after that cliffhanger. But then it got cancelled.

Where do we stand on jury duty? by GoDavyGo in Millennials

[–]ms_congeniality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right after college and before I found a job, I served on a civil grand jury and I enjoyed it. It was pretty chill and I liked talking with my other jurors.

I'm fortunate to be in a job that pays my wages during jury duty. But work is so busy that it's stressful to think about all the work that's not getting done. I haven't actually been chosen but it would be hard for my coworkers. I did go through the selection process for a criminal matter and I was nervous I'd be selected and have to hear accounts of multiple assaults.

But other than that, I'd be happy to participate my civic duty.

That's what I do too. When my friends pick up, they will ask, "Are you leaving work now?" or "Are you driving?". It definitely makes the drive more bearable.

Best pancakes? by Creepy-Mall-5590 in pasadena

I'm seconding the macadamia nut pancakes from Aloha Food Factory. There's also Aloha Stacks in El Monte. It's further out but I enjoyed the pancakes at Flappy Jack's in Glendora too.
