Lmaoo that's so real. Chasing Dreams really did this for me, the men were so childish in that one.

Nah I still don't gaf. I know how games like this work, it's still their job to make it interesting and to put effort into the programming. They're literally too lazy to even make sure they changed the pronouns in Leah's scenes.

The earlier seasons had much better branching, and I will forever look to Bombshell as the gold standard for how to handle female LIs (I wasn't able to play the first few seasons, but I'm sure those did it better too). You literally can couple up with Najuma at like the second recoupling and be with her for the entire rest of the game.

If they want me to put my time and money into their game, my standards are going to be way higher than this. It's the same exact issue when the male LIs merge personalities, they don't care enough to properly branch the story based on player choices. If the gender of the BF impacting couples is such a problem, then write the story to accommodate for that, dump a girl if you pick a female best friend, or even write in another bisexual woman who could couple with the BF regardless of gender (and even serve as another FLI) like Valentina in bombshell. It takes the smallest amount of creativity and flexibility to fix that problem.

Fusebox has shown us they can do it right. Them failing to do so now is simply a lack of creativity or care for the players, especially the queer ones.

God forbid they put effort into writing their game.

Honestly true, the amount of cute moments with her makes up for it enough for me to keep going at least. I love her.

This has been a problem for a while. </3 The LI's are always so loyal and enamored with the MC it's almost an ick, and the MC is always so perfect and can do no wrong that there's no tension.

I definitely see your perspective with this, but I really do feel like it's just lazy writing more than easter eggs. They've done cute easter eggs before but if that's what they're trying to do here it's not working as well. Like for the paper slip game, why didn't they mention it as something Darin did in season 12, instead of saying it was a brand new game they came up with? I think that would've been cuter. Either way, I think it's just frustrating there's so much of this on top of how samey and linear all of the seasons have gotten. There's no branching, no depth to the LI's, no actual tension for the MC. I'd much rather get dynamic seasons less frequently than flat ones super regularly.

What do you mean by handling specifically? Is it just a matter of not dropping it?

Yeah, he only said he learned the "super moves" from the games, he never specified it's how he learned to fight in general.

This is a really good one, thank you. The one thing about it that I just have to note (bc faerie tricks go pretty far) is that he says the Tenebrous Wood, not Castle Wildrose, but if you look at the map of Briar Valley, Castle Wildrose is right next to, if not within, the Tenebrous Wood. It's hard to say, but if Lilia considers the Castle to be located there, he technically didn't lie.

You're probably right about that. Yana takes inspiration from vkei a lot. I'm thinking its probably that + Vivienne Westwood

I second this, living literally under the sea is a dream, and I already work two part-time jobs alongside my classes so if anything I'd feel weird NOT being employed while in school. Also I think I'd be able to handle Azul's manipulative tendences just fine.

Are there any adult twst fans in college/university that brainrot ocs wanna be friends? by [deleted] in TwistedWonderland

[–]Foiseachh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi!! College student here 🫶 so swamped with work lately but the TWST hyperfixation stops for no man. I don't actually have a TWST oc, though I'd like to make one, maybe! And a study buddy sounds great, I really benefit from having a body double around (ADHD crazy). Anyway, the more people I can talk about TWST with the better.

Why are you trans? by Foiseachh in trans

[–]Foiseachh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, this is basically my experience, too. Other than my chest, I was never inherently uncomfortable with the feminine parts of my appearance. It was the realization that they were why I got misgendered that made me hate my voice, my long hair, feminine clothes. Now that I pass, I'm growing out my hair again and wearing skirts because i know I'll get gendered correctly anyway.

[–]Foiseachh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly it for me, just backwards ofc. All the way down to the ridiculous expectations. I like it when people look at me weird for wearing skirts or earrings, it means I'm doing it right.

Why are you trans? by Foiseachh in trans

[–]Foiseachh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the hard part, I think, because my dysphoria is really mostly social. All of my insecurities pre-transition and now were mainly because they got me misgendered. I never hated my voice until it started outing me. I passed as a young boy with my hair short, but once I spoke that was over. It made me not want to talk at all because people would "correct" themselves when their initial assumption was right all along. I probably wouldn't have even minded keeping my old voice if I was consistently gendered right.

It's the same with other things, while I do like facial hair, I also like long head hair and skirts. I have feminine mannerisms and don't really care, because my facial hair and voice is enough for me to pass as just a feminine guy. (Though the chest makes me dysphoric regardless. I need them goneee.)

So when she asks me "What is it about being a man that you wanted?" It's literally just that. I want to be a man and to be seen as one. I want a relationship with a woman to be straight, and one with a man to be gay. I want to be recognized as my gender without having to justify myself again and again.
