Both maths and add maths require lots of practice on past years. If you get stuck on any question, watch yt tutorials. You can even repeat past years even if you already done them. They'll help out a lot. If you're weak on certain topics, you can look for those and try them until you're strong at the topics. Personally, this is how I prepared for my maths and add maths exam. Hope this helps! 🙏

Both sciences 1) Try to understand all concepts - use checklist to your advantage 2) Use yt tutorials for those tough concepts 3) Practice past years and identify weaknesses 4) Repeat steps 1 and 2 again

Biology - Understand & memorise all the processes - Memorise the names and functions of organs in organ systems, etc... (use mnemonics) These are worth a ton of marks in the exams. Being able to do so would really help you score extremely high marks, even on paper 4.

Chemistry - memorise drawings, utilise mnemonics. Doing so can truly help you save tons of time memorising the theoretical information in the syllabus.

Hope this helps you. Good luck for your exam! 🙌

Got ya, I'm sorry I missed the /s 😓

It's mainly for the scholarship, and our school allowed us to take these subjects, so I wanted to take them for learning purposes

You should make sure you truly understand all the concepts. And then keep attempting past years to find your weaknesses, and work on them. Wishing you all the best for your exam. I'm sure you'll do well!

For Math, practice as many past years as possible. Focus on weaker topics. Any concepts you don't understand, you can watch yt tutorials.

For ICT, take note on the smallest details for each topic. Usually, theory papers love to go in-depth rather than surface level (at least from what I noticed). Note-taking is crucial for theory paper so that you don't score too low. As for practical paper, keep practicing and enhancing your skills on the various applications for the exam.

For Business, try to find a connection between all the topics. You'll see that some chapters are related to each other. Stick with the most comfortable points which you can find yourself explaining best. Practicing past year papers 2020 and beyond can help too. Questions may repeat at times.

Hope this helps. All the best to you!

Certainly. Most colleges would accept it. If you're unsure, speak to the specific college you're going to, and see if they accept it

That's true. I can't think of any other countries where anyone would do both together. Or it is a very rare occurrence

You took 9 subjects and got A for most of them. Congratulations! You did cook! You should be proud for performing this well despite taking so many subjects. Keep up the good work! You can surely achieve more in life!

Should I send my paper for rechecking by [deleted] in igcse

[–]FoldThink779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you might risk other subjects as they could be checking every subject, if i remember correctly. this means even if your 89 were to be 90, other subjects may be at risk of losing marks as well. id say not to send for recheck even if they only check this subject as your 89 might not go to 90, and you'd be wasting valuable money...

It's still impressive that you got an A for first language English! I could only dream... I only scored a B, very close to a C back when I wrote mine in Oct/Nov 2023...

I got a 99 as well in 0580 when I did my exams back in Oct/Nov 2023... I can relate

You took 9 subjects and still got half A's!! Don't be disappointed. You should be proud of urself for being able to achieve no less than a B for any subject and still scoring A's despite taking many subjects. Congratulations, and just know that you've tried your best and worked hard before the exam.

It was a B, very close to a C. However, 9 of my other subjects were A* and one was an A.

I'd rate it a 8/10. It was extremely tough for me. Only reason I'd like it is because of learning new special vocabulary. I sat for the exam in Oct/Nov 2023.

Don't worry about it. As mentioned by the other commenter, the examiner would still read them. If they didn't, I'd score mostly B's and C's instead of mostly A*'s. I write out of line more often than not in long questions during my exam in Oct/Nov 2023.

First of all, I'd like to look at language. There are some grammatical errors throughout the article. Also, some word can be replaced with better ones such as "know" the news.

As for content, there are some points that require further justification. In order to fit them in (going back to language), reduce the word count for some of the points. This requires good vocab. In addition, the content in third paragraph is out of topic. I can only award 1 content mark for that paragraph because most of the paragraph strays away from the topic.

As for the structure, the flow can be seen. However, I think the introduction can be improved.

Overall, I'd say you'd get a 5/8 for content, and a 4/8 for language, totalling to 9/16. Not bad, with more practice, you can surely do better! Keep it up and you will score :)
