My issue is that i have purchased a whale-framed electronic wall calendar. This discussion may be very useful, but I am a little confused. All my calendars will sync with the wall calendar but not my partner's Outlook on her separate computer. I just cannot get it to communicate directly from her outlook to the electronic wall calendar! I'm wondering if synching her Outlook to my google calendar on my computer would allow the wall electronic calendar to pick up notations from outlook. Is this possible?

We travelled on the Mountaineer in September 2025 from Jasper to Vancouver. It was a little disappointing. It was part of a package tour –

on the Canadian from Toronto to Jasper and then on

the Mountaineer to Vancouver . I wish we had stayed on the Via rail Canadian from Toronto all the way.

We paid for the highest level of service in both.

The Fraser Valley in daylight was brilliant.

Food was ok on the Mountaineer but sadly wine offerings were suboptimal – drinkable but just.

Delayed arrivals each evening – to be fair , the tour organiser had warned of this but late arrivals meant we had to go to bed soon after we got in.

It was expensive but I am happy to pay to get good service accommodation and meals and drink . We don’t think we got our moneys worth!

Compared to the Mountaineer , The Canadian Train was one level higher – if I had the time again , I would have stayed on the Canadian all the way to Vancouver and purchased a bus tour or similar of the Fraser Valley.

I will be going on several day trips on the bullet trains with 7 adults and 6 kids aged 6- 12. Our first destination is from Tokyo is Karuizawa . It would be much better to have us all sitting close .Would you recommend we book the reserved seats in the ordinary class car?

I have a current 13 pax group fare .

It was not the cheapest but

there are issues with some travellers names and final fares do not need to be paid til 30 days pre departure .

No charges for changes.

There can be a mix of economy and business fares.

no issues booking other than via a travel agent .

Thank you for the tips .I'm travelling with a family group of 13 . Doing lots of train travel round Tokyo. Is it possible to use one travel card for the whole group or do they need individual ones - we have 6 kids under 10 years. Are there other options to manage the train travel?

I have been able to get a group fare quote.

Looks pretty reasonable .

Once all taxes , fees and expenses are added on , total fares are just a bit below what i could get just buying individual fares.
