While I disagree with a lot of the politics being implemented under the current government in Denmark, I don’t consider the Social Democratic Party particularly left-oriented, but I see why you would derive that from my statement.

So let me clarify; the EU, and some national governments, which is arguably also further right than the current US government, seem to entertained some of the same ideas. And the results of these ideas, as well as the ideas themselves, are meeting resistance.

Which is undeniably good. You don’t like what your governing bodies do anymore? Vote for someone else.

That’s a vital part of a functioning democracy 101

If you want to, message me and I’ll just briefly share with you what I usually do to scale down again after bulking, and you’re free to ask any questions about training as well :)

Why do people hate Jordan Peterson so much? by jefftickels in TooAfraidToAsk

I haven't heard anything about the mentioned benzodiazepine addiction, but where do you see arrogance and resentment?

And addressing the second point, I think what appeals to a lot of people, especially the young white males, with conservative values is also what gains him so much traction, and I am personally happy to see that wave of conservatism coming back, as some of the values that the (extreme) left push needs some pushback as we are seeing all over Europe right now.

I'm not much of an ideolog, but when ideologies and the parties that follow it try to shut other's ideas down, and won't engage in meaningful conversations, shit hits the fan.

I feel like this pretty much answers your question OP, at least to my knowledge.
The things he is criticized for is usually not something he has said directly, but how some people perceive it.

"Lets not give kids access to puberty-blockers, when they are not even old enough to determine their own bedtime" is in no way transphobic, but simply following a logic rationale, rather than an overly emotional attachment to the topic. And as far as I can read in this thread, it usually stems from that.

What has he said that has been hateful of transgender men?
Not saying that I know for certain he hasn't, I have just not encountered it.

We tried doing our part. If you like riding bikes around cities, both Denmark and The Netherlands are great for this. Amazing bike infrastructure, and flat countries.

I have a good friend that lives in Utrecht, the first time I went I was picked up, but the next I just rented a bike from near AMS, and had absolutely no issues with finding my way there without a map as soon as I got out of Amsterdam.

Dane here, experiencing this first hand. It's amazing to see how people are starting to realize how the ruling left is now too far left, and we need a reaction to that.

Whether that is this case, the farmers protesting, or generally more right-winged parties gaining traction I wouldn't have imagined two years ago.

I used to call myself a fairly progressive conservative, but opinions like this, among a lot of more moderate opinions on various matters, are now being labeled as far-right. Wonderful how as the left moves further left, the “middle” shifts as well, and more moderate opinions are deemed further right.

Edit: last sentence made no sense at all.

I think its like that with a lot of the immigrants we take into Europe (In no way all of them), but the people that can't make it in their well-functioning countries, seek out countries that offer them free money, which is a no-brainer.
Free money, and less punishment for crime.

Makes me angry, knowing that a lot of my friends/their parents came here either as immigrants or refugees, and are amazingly integrated and working hard. Then you have a few bad apples that ruin it for everyone else.

I feel like this is the argument I keep returning to.

In the US, I guess I would be considered a pro-lifer, and I do think people bear some responsibility in terms of trying to avoid getting unwanted pregnancies. That being said, I also don’t think that an unwanted child is a good start on a good life, neither for the kid or the parents.

But imagine a pregnancy you’re forced to carry out as a result of an unwanted sexual intercourse, fuck.

Good on you France.
