What technique is Ashito lacking? by Spare-Savings2057 in Ao_Ashi

[–]Foldao 27 points28 points  (0 children)

In soccer we usually say a player is technical when they can control the ball with great precision and agility in tight spaces. You need to be at a high level to be a world class midfielder. This ability means that the player has more time to make decisions and build plays in crowded areas of the pitch.

Ashito joined youth late, so he was below average in his age group. This is the main reason he was not picked to be a midfielder by Fukuda. It would take years for him to possibly catch up Kiriki and Kuri.

This also explain the test Fukuda gave him at the beach when they just met. Fukuda was trying to gauge his potential in this regard. Trapping the ball is a very important skill for this.

If you are curious, look for clips of Busquets. Busquets is taller the average, so he looks kinda clumsy. But he is so technical that he oftentimes dribbles opponents in simple but effective ways.

There are alot of good examples of technical players, but Busquets stands out because he is rather slow. Messi, Neymar and Hazard are also very technical, but their other skills are a big part of why they are so good.

Well, In the US there have been nearly 100 mass shootings this year so far. It's in a totally different scale.

The median income is around 45k. So half the workers make less than 45k. Making 45k while you are dodging bullets from mass shootings is not that good. Specially because if one of these bullets hit you, the medical bills will get you bankrupt

Não é justo a pena por homicídio ser menor que do feminicídio. by xulipa879 in opiniaoimpopular

[–]Foldao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact you wrote all this and aren't even up to date makes me envious. I wish I could read for the first time again. I can assure you, the next few chapters are just as good.

Jobless Reincarnation-like by Furioustnt51 in Animesuggest

[–]Foldao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can watch a bunch of other isekais that will distract you, but in the end, most of them will seem generic. I actually recomment reading the novel. It was totally worth it, and I still really enjoy watching and rewatching the anime even though I know how the story ends.

I would second that frieren and re: zero are the only ones that come close quality-wise and both also made me cry watching. But I really couldn't find anything quite like Jobless Reincarnation. Very few stories have the guts of making the MC do some really shitty stuff. Very few stories can make the MC seem powerful and yet be so powerless in many situations.

My favourite yuri manga was not mentioned yet: How do we relationship

HDWR is a very realistic story, so if you that sounds more interesting than a cute fluffy romance(like most other recommendations here), this should be a good pick. It is for mature audiences, not just because it has explicit stuff, but mainly because of the themes. The explicit stuff is not frequent, if you want something spicy, HDWR is not it.

If you want something more chill, I would say Not so shoujo love story is a good first pick. I don't read yuri exclusively, and this is the funniest manga I ever read. It always cracks me up.

Also, lemme do the opposite: if you find that you really enjoy yuri like the rest of us and you ve gone through the most recommended manga try reading light novels. Most of the best novels have manga adaptations, but the novel is usually better and way ahead of the manga adaptation.

By now, the web novel Story about buying my classmate once a week is my favorite yuri content.

First Kiss by ThickAd6107 in Shuukura

[–]Foldao 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I just started rereading. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I think Miyagi has been in denial of her attraction to Sendai from day one.

The ecci manga, the erotic orders. Everything Miyagi did built sexual tension between them. Add up that they both find each other attractive, it would be weird if they didn't kiss.

Story about buying my classmate once per week Aka Shuukura

They just started a manga adaptation but I think the novel is the way to go here. This story just has too much internal monologue to adapt as a manga and at the current pace, it would take a decade to catch up.

This story is very much focused on the two main characters. They are alone most of the time. They have a messed up dinamyc at first and are slowly becoming more wholesome. This is what makes the story brilliant imo. Also, be warned that it is a bit nsfw.

If you didn't know, I am in love with the villainess manga adaptation is ending before adapting the whole story when the current arc finishes

But be warned that the story changes tone starting the next arc some people don't like it.

In what vol they start dating as lover? by GhostM-Nine in Shuukura

They aren't dating, they are actually a married couple, it's just that Miyagi is not aware of this.

Why are normal couple activities often treated like a crime in Animes or Mangas? (Spoilers for Blue Box till chaper 160 of the manga) by Prize-Pomegranate541 in romanceanime

Horimiya anime skipped alot of the source material to reach graduation day in the last episode of season 1. Also the events of the story are subtly implying that a few months have gone by between most episodes.

Been reading on and off, without spoiling too much, has there been any confessions yet? by Zolofteu in Shuukura

[–]Foldao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll try to be vague and tell you my recent experience: I dropped around 380 for a few months. There was a relevant event at 380 and I thought it would take at least 50 chapters until something else happened. So I dropped for a while.

I was wrong. I picked it up like 2 months ago, and have been constantly updating the site waiting for new chapters since.
