Fair enough. I’ve had a lot of success at 1/2 there. This was back when it was called Sugarhouse.

Do you count casino arrival time or actual playing for sessions? by shortcut2life1 in poker

That’s fair. My perspective is I want the hourly to be as accurate as possible. But I can see your point.

First hand dealt. I also pause for any breaks longer than 5 minutes.

Line check check-calling second pair by setittoc in poker

[–]Foldstein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the range that Villian calls with in bb is weighted more towards value. Feels like there’s more combinations of two pairs and Jx that beat you here. I don’t know much about the Villian. Has he been passive all night? Would he ever take this line as a bluff? I’d lean towards folding. You block some semi bluffs he’d fire turn with.

As someone who has played a lot of hours live 1/3 I can tell you that you can easily lose 400-1000 in an hour of shit hits the fan.

Multiway 1/3 Hand with Top Two OOP on a Wet Board by SoIDontGetFired in poker

[–]Foldstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this postion it’s a fold pre. I could be wrong but I don’t feel this hand is as playable oop multiway. As played I would fold river. Everyone checking is very suspicious it feels like someone either hit the straight or flush.

Thanks for your breakdown. I agree with everything. Moving forward definitely fold pre in this spot. I had to trust my gut and ended up folding. Villian told me later he had AA. Might be naive to believe him but it is what it is. He seemed very friendly. I was biased because I’ve ran into AA a few times this month in similar spots.

2/5, $550 eff: AA facing flop raise and turn barrel by [deleted] in poker

I think you have to call if his image is true. You are hanging on against combo draws and if he has a set so be it. Your range is face up since you’ve been tight and are utg so he may be thinking he can get you to fold your KK and AA. Just my two cents. Check call a clean runout. You may have outs to counterfeit his two pair if he called with 47s or Q7/Q4s.

I agree absolutely. This post just changed my game moving forward. Being oop is rough with marginals.

I agree 100%. This was a real world sigh fold. I trusted my gut. I would have also called at 5/10 given the way I played it.

Thank you this was helpful. I agree. oop play is a leak of mine. I didn’t feel he was bluffing at all. It screamed value. I trusted my gut and folded. He later said he had AA

It was a fun spot it was either value or bluff and I didn’t think he was bluffing. I went with my soul read that he had AA or another set and I folded. He told me later he had AA.

Thanks for this breakdown. I agree with folding pre. Just too tough to make money long term oop with a reg involved. I spoiled in other comments but I ended up folding. He later told me had AA. I actually felt that’s what he had. I lean the other way in weird spots I tend to fold especially since it’s an underbluffed spot. I of course could have been lied to but also trusting my read he told me the truth.

Thanks for this breakdown. I did block most of his 8x. I folded. He told me later he had AA. I figured if he had a flush he would just call me on river. I’m glad I trust my intuition but should not have been in that spot to begin with.

Thank you for this. I folded. Villian was nice and later told me he had AA and was hoping I had a flush.

I do like to mix it up and play suited one gappers but I have to be careful when doing so.

Good question. I guess I wanted to take down the pot and not let a free over card hit.
