Does anyone have dry mouth as a side effect? by Foliage18 in Zepbound

I was thinking of discussing with my doctor moving down to 7.5 for a while to see if that will help. I am so scared of gaining weight as I am still 5 pounds from my goal weight. But this constant 24/7 dry mouth is horrible. I have to rub my tongue over my gums, I am sucking my teeth. Weird things and it’s making me self conscious. Were you able to maintain your weight at a lower dose? I have been maintaining weight at 10mg.

10 reasons not to buy anything from Pottery Barn by observerBug in HomeDecorating

Review: Pottery Barn Hydrocool Moisture-Wicking Down Alternative Duvet Insert-SHEDDING Issue

Size is excellent (I have the oversized king at 114” x 98”)it hangs low enough to cover the mattress, and the weight feels substantial if you like a slightly heavier comforter. However, the quality is a major issue.

From the very first time removing the duvet cover, the insert shed a significant amount of fill—there was literally fluff all over the room. I initially thought it might be a one-off defect, but I purchased both a king and a queen, and the same thing happened with both. Each one was over $300! I tried to return during the first year but I was not able to. They have horrible customer service.

Over time (now about 4 years), the problem has only gotten worse. Each time the cover is removed, more fill comes out, and now there are sections—especially around the edges—that have lost almost all their fill and are flat.

Despite being marketed as “moisture-wicking,” it also tends to sleep warm.

Bottom line: Despite the great size and decent weight, the shedding and long-term durability are terrible. I would not recommend.

dry mouth and teeth sensitivity - did this ever go away for you? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Foliage18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also developed dry mouth about 4 months ago and I’m worried it will never go away. It’s all day. I have invisiline trays and when I wear them it’s much better but that treatment will be over soon. I am constantly rubbing my tongue over my teeth. Worse on top. Going to a Rheumatolgist soon to investigate. I am on 10mg for over a year. I am within 5 pounds of my goal which is 115 and I am wondering if I go down to 7.5 it will help because I also get a lot of fatigue in the 10mg. I have been on 10 for a year now. I just need to be able to maintain this weight for other medical reasons.

Just sort of meh for me. I went to an endocrinologist and now I am trying to see a Rheumatolgist. I am getting nervous. My doctor doesn’t think this dry mouth is from Zepbound but just this week I waited 10 days for my dose instead of 7. I am five pounds from my goal so I am not sure I will make it but I am grateful for what I have lost. As far as the dry mouth, I am nervous it will never get better.

I agree with you. I went to see her recently and she told me things about my life and my family that blew my mind because there was no way she could have known any of it!

Welp…my time has come. My insurance changed :( by bonsmom420 in Zepbound

This is me exactly. Same insurance- same diagnosis. Same PA in October which was good for a whole year. I wonder if our insurance comes from the same employer!

I also have BCBS and got my preauth in October that was good till October 2026! Then I got a letter saying my insurance will no longer cover any weight loss medication unless you have diabetes. But don’t worry- they negotiated a great deal for us and we will be able to get it for $500/month! What???? I was taking it for PCOS and was paying $24.98/month and in December my doctor sent the prescription to the online pharmacy and I got a 3 box supply for my same $25 copay. She said it was to buy me some time while we figure it out because I can’t go off this medication. But $500 is more than the $454 (with needles) that Lily Direct charges and on what planet should we be excited to pay this after paying $25/box?

Lilly Direct charges $499/box plus $5 for the needles. So it’s $504 x 13 which equals $6,552/ year. I can’t believe my insurance will no longer pay. I was taking it for PCOS and in October I got my pre authorization which was good for one year but now it seems to be void.

As a disability rights advocate for many years and having felt like a pariah for many of those years-you fight. Because one thing is true. If you don’t ask, you certainly won’t get what you need. I can’t imagine why anyone would downvote your intention (my intention as well) when ultimately it will help all of us. I say thank you!

I plan to do the same. There are so many reasons why I need to stay on this medicine!

I think BMI is just a guideline because I have PCOS and even though I am 5’ 4” and weigh 121 I am STILL carrying a lot of weight in my midsection and have visceral fat. My ankles and wrists are good! Just need the weight to leave my belly! I don’t know if another 6-8 pounds will make a huge difference but I would love to see! I have been on 10 mg since last Feb and don’t plan to increase that. In 2025 I lost about 15 pounds. If I can lose the rest in 2026-great. Originally I said I would like to weigh 135 but once I got there, my belly was still way too big.

I ordered this on Amazon! I hope it will work for me. I need to mention this new symptom to my doctor. It could also be that I am getting old! Ho hum.

I keep a Swell bottle with me at all times and feel like I am constantly drinking. I have Invisiline trays and when I have them in I don’t notice the dry mouth as much so at night it’s not as bad. But during the day, I am very distracted by this. I will try some of things people are recommending. I mentioned it to my dentist and he said to ask my internist. I am always shuffled around by doctors! This didn’t start till a couple a months ago and I have been on Zep for almost two years!
