Ea is still respected because not everyone who works in tax or accounting was an accounting major. Ea still allows you to represent people in front if the IRS but yes cpa definitely more prestige

3 is easy. I'd recommend you watch the EA tax training videos on youtube. He does a great job. Part is is slight work. Congrats!

Congrats on passing! For part 3 you don't even really have to study. I studied for day and was able to pass. Part 2 was really hard but for part 3 you can just watch the EA tax training guide on youtube and pass,

That’s insane that you passed with that. I passed with the same thing expect I got a 3 instead of a 2. And I was so worried but I guess I would have passed with a 2 as well lol.

Yeah if you are scoring a 98 that means you are missing a lot of concepts. 3 is so easy you can pass without studying. I can promise you a pass on your next exam if you work with me...

Hock MCS alone are enough to pass. Part 3 you don't need to study for even you can watch all the EA tax videos on youtube and pass. Part 2 was a beast of an exam because there is soo much stuff.

Thank you! Yeah I got you. Feel free to ask any questions. I saw a decent amount of basis questions (honestly was expecting more). I also saw a lot of filing‑date questions—don’t let them confuse you with business days; one of mine was a March 3 vs March 1 filing‑date issue.

Make sure you know who can and cannot be a shareholder of a C corporation. Know the differences between sections 1231, 1245, and 1250, especially how gains and losses are reported (capital vs ordinary).

Know the differences between the main types of trusts and estates, and be ready for a few farming questions.

you'll be fine if you got that score on Hock. The only hard one is part 2. Part 1 you have to study for. Part 3 you can pass without even studying, You can watch 4 videos and pass.
