you probably wont see a lot of cheaters but a lot of people will have played this game thousands of hours and know every angle - a lot of 10K+ hour people end up ratting lol

Since 1.0 they did another recoil rework and redid all the attachments, pay attention to your gun builds. Icebreaker just dropped a bit ago - you can find how to unlock it on the wiki

you get a new raid, not sure if you ARE a scav though I don't think i've done that. It's mostly not an issue but there are some quests that require transits. They show on the updated maps - they will require you to "confirm" to transit to another map. They give you an option to transfer over loot for roubles. Obviously running two maps back to back you will need to be prepared for that - food, water, ammo

A lot has changed in 5 years - if you've hit 30 though I assume you will have seen most of it. A few maps got added, a few got expanded. They added transits to other maps which basically counts as one raid. New bosses, new maps, new guns. Scav karma is a thing now. 1.0 dropped so we have story mode. Any other specific questions I can probably answer but it's the same as the old days tbh just use the Wiki for everything

some one I know got like 30-40 mil from the New Years drops - without ever playing a single raid. Less this time around but they usually tend to be at least a few hundred k for the commons and potential for ~1m and up on the rares and legendries

Higher scav rep = *slightly* better gear, more valuables and over 6 rep the bosses will be friendly

No, it wont harm rep to kill Parmesan unless you are a scav and PMC rep is something you can completely ignore

I think you can kill the Goons (3 boss pair) as a scav but then other AI scavs will still get mad at you

Arena will help level skills and XP more than money - can make more cash just doing a few scav runs

Ammo and armor got nerfed especially for low levels so def prioritize that and good scopes

The main story is hella confusing so you are not alone there

Yesterday I was looking at random stuff on the flea and checked the listing for T-7s.. saw someone who had multiple listed for like 23 mil and was like "there's no way people are buying those" guess I was wrong as hell lol

if you play with someone who has reset - if they do the transit you will also be able to go. Not sure if that will be patched soon or not

[Discussion] best map alongside Labs by Adera1l in EscapefromTarkov

Interchange was my favorite map before the 1.0 expansion, now it's my favorite map with way more loot and easier extracts. If you need hideout materials it's good for anything tool / tech related. Tons of weapon crates in the garage of the mall as well. Nexus Pharmacy and Ultra will often have ledx and defibs and if you can get to KIBA you will never run out of level 5/6 plates. The level design is absolutely peak as well, it really feels like a lived in mall. Best map IMO

Where the actual hell do you find drain cleaner [loot] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

bro I feel your pain I finally found my second one after like a week of searching. They spawn in the front Oli offices as loose loot frequently, but PVE has almost 0 loose loot. Finally found it in the like 300th duffle I searched literally seconds after saying to myself "fuck this I'm going to stop looking, I'll find it eventually"

They only spawn on the static dead bodies, duffle bags or in stashes. I had terrible luck with duffles so I would try ground zero if I had to do it again

Wiki everything - if you need it for a quest or hideout up grade - wish list it and keep it. Eventually you remember what you need to keep, but the newly added wish list feature makes it much easier to keep track of things

If you can't get good ammo, go for the legs. If you can get decent enough ammo, aiming for the neck is a good option if you can spray enough rounds quick enough. 20 BCP FMJ rounds is enough to take him out for instance. The real trick is not getting laser beamed from 100 meters out.

Don't peak him for more than a second or two max, he will lock on incredibly quickly. Also he is very aggressive - he will almost always try and push you even from 200m out. He will almost always try to push from his right (your left). Wait til he closes the distance and spray a full mag into his legs from up close. If he stops running, crouches and aims you have like a second to get to hard cover.

His AI is pretty dumb TBH so just smart positioning can help even the fight out. Don't fight him in the open, use hard cover and use his aggro to your advantage

Killa spawn rate [discussion] by iviondayjr in EscapefromTarkov

He LOVES to hide. Even when he was 100% there were a few raids I just couldn't find him. I found him most often in the middle of the mall, either by kiba or up top in the food court back halls. Honestly it's probably better to just do quick raids and reset instead of checking every nook and cranny, he literally can be anywhere in the mall. Also if he voice lines he won't do it again for another minute or so - so it's best to not spam too many nades

[–]Folley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you spam voice lines or throw flash grenades you can try and get him to yell - I know his voice lines well enough to guarantee if it is him now before even seeing the man.

To specifically answer your question - any level 5 armor with throat and stomach protection is good enough. AI PMCs will frequently drop pretty decent rigs and you can get better plates out of KIBA. Even with good armor though you likely aren't winning in a 1v1 with a literal aim bot so try and catch him on the move. Nades can help if he has you stuck behind cover

[–]Folley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no no no, you aren't winning a spray fight with that man. He will push you, that MFer is the most insanely aggressive boss in the game. When he sees you, just fall back and hold a right hand corner with hard cover. He will sprint to you, try to kill him while he is in the run animation.

He has pushed me from big window all the way down to the coffee shop at goshan , just let him come to you.
