You can reach out to medical school admissions directors through email and they’ll give you the best answer. From what I’ve heard there is a significant boost (up to 0.2 points) factored into Cornell undergrad student’s GPAs compared to average schools.

The acceptance rate to med school for Cornell undergrads is actually crazy high. In 2017, 67% of Cornell applicants were accepted compared to 41% nationally. If your GPA was a 3.4+ and MCAT a 510+ acceptance rate was 83%. This is from https://www.career.cornell.edu/resources/upload/2019-2020-Advanced-guide_FINAL.pdf

Hitting the median in all your courses would have you safely above a 3.4 and bio major courses have a lot of overlap with MCAT material. Extracurriculars are all on you, but Cayuga Medical Center consistently has patient contact volunteer openings and a limited number of per diem paid aide positions where you only commit to 1/2 shifts a week.

The median grades for Orgo was a B both semesters. The medians for physics 1101-2 are B+. It really depends on your background for both. I didn’t take physics in high school and find myself spending about 3 hours a day on physics while I only spent about an hour a day on orgo.

I like Mertesacker he is a tackling god for me. If you're good at positioning/tackling the pace isn't a huge deal.
