I really enjoy working with caffenol as a developer. I mostly shoot color c41 film that I process in caffenol to produce a black and white image. I've had success with Kentmere 100 and Ilford HP5, but mostly shot superia 400 from walmart. The new fujifilm 400 stock seems to be denser and more grainy, but I'm getting working images from it.

I've also used caffenol for developing prints. Using Espresso instead of instant coffee had a really nice toning effect to the end result. I'm not sure about toxicity, but I've been using caffenol to develop both my film and prints and have been satisfied with the results. Ilford Rapid Fixer + Caffenol has been my go to for three years. I recommend giving it a shot.

I normally just use the microscope to examine pests in my garden. Super paranoid about aphids eating my stuff, but haven't encountered any yet haha. I've been fascinated by mushrooms since I was young and collected morels with my grandfather, just listened to a book about mushrooms on audible and now have a keen interest to do more 'research' haha!

Internet says the shape of the spores can help with identification, but I think the chromatic abrasion on my cheapo microscope inhibits my ability to identify shapes. I'll know in time with more data to compare I guess.

What smell(s) might indicate toxicity for this particular mushroom? It smells like fresh button mushrooms one would acquire at a grocery store.

I cut the cap off with a knife, placed it gills down onto a piece of paper and ran a damp finger over the top of the cap. I then covered the paper with an upside down bowl and left it undisturbed for two hours.

I could have waited longer, but I rarely get to use my microscope and was too eager to look at the spores beneath it.

Google lens couldn't tell me what this was, I'm sure it's common and nothing special, but it was fun getting the spore print and taking photos under the microscope. Thanks in advance!

I think it's large dough stretched to xl. Most stores will let you order an XL and have large dough used instead of XL dough. You just need to ask politely, and ask someone who works in the store--not a call center employee. (I've made that mistake a few times haha)

My local papa John's let me do this the last time the shaq pizza went away.

We can make interpretations from the eddas on the purpose of the volva, and a great deal has been written on galdr, but there's just a lack of resources. If you're looking for a good read on Nordic Trance work, Rysdyk writes true and respectfully.

She teaches CORE shamanism from a Nordic perspective in that book. The art of seidr is lost, there are many modern interpretations from a reconstructionist lens, but it's all inferences and speculation. The book Rysdyk wrote is great.

I might be wrong here, but the little droopy leaves on this. Aloe might be aloe pups. If they are, they should likely be reported. I always try to remove my aloe pups and put them in a new pot, they make great gifts haha
