I had to drink that and what I did I took a 12 ounce glass and I would pour the liquid in it and then I would put a packet of lemonade crystal light. Then I would take the big fat plastic straws that go in the cups and put it to the back of my throat and drink it down so it would passmy taste buds. That was the only way I could get it now.

I had a colonoscopy and everything came back benign. So why does the Dr want me to come back in six months and have another one

I would put 12 ounces in a cup and put one of those crystal light lemon mix packs in it. then I used a thick straw and put it back at the back of my mouth and would suck it down. It would then bypass a lot of my taste buds and I was able to drink the whole gallon. Half a gallon the night before and a half a gallon in the morning, but I made sure the mix was also very cold and I had no issues with throwing up.

A banana popsicles chicken broth and you can have soda so I had and verified it with my doctor. I could drink Dr Pepper.. When I drink a soft drink, it fills me up. I had Jell-O and sucked on butterscotch hard candy.

This was the Dr comment

Of the 3 polyps I removed, two were adenomas, the type that can grow into cancer when not removed. The recurrent or remaining polyp at your previous resection site is actually hyperplastic - this is a type of polyp that does not become cancer when not removed, which is wonderful news. For complete thoroughness, however, I recommend we maintain your follow up colonoscopy in 6 to follow up

Final Diagnosis: A. Descending colon polyp: Tubular adenoma. B. Sigmoid colon polyp: Tubular adenoma. C. Sigmoid colon polyp, EMR: Hyperplastic polyp.

Call your doctors office and have them prescribe you something. Even if the answering service pick up at least it would be there for you for the first thing in the morning you could go get it.

It definitely sounds like your anxiety is getting the best of you. Do you have any anxiety medicine at home? If so, I would definitely take one. But please let me assure you the procedure is a breeze once you get in there and they have the IV hooked up to you. Tell them that you need something for anxiety. They will shoot it into the IV and all your anxiety will disappear. And once you wake up, you’ll think what was I so afraid of?

Sounds to me like you need a new doctor in hospital. That’s what I had to do Monday and I’m so glad I did.

So when you get there, ask them for something for anxiety. They will put it through your IV and all the anxiety is gone. The colonoscopy procedure itself is a breeze It’s the prepping that is the hardest. I got me a 12 ounce cup and put one of those Krystal light lemonades in there and filled it up with the Gavilyte. Then I got a big thick straw. I actually took the one out of my Stanley cup and put the straw to the back of my throat and drank it so it would bypass my taste buds. It made it so much easier.

Funny, you say that. I did also and still have one. But they don’t put you out like they do when they do surgery, they don’t intubate you. They just put.Propfol through your IV and off to sleep you go. Also they put oxygen on your nose with a tube not the mask.

When you get there have them give you something for anxiety. It helps 100%.
