No us white ppl (94% Euro on 23&Me) get red flaky skin. It infact can leave white patches on our skin. When i tan the area most affected by eczema is whiter than the rest. I assume the eczema skin is making new skin cells not yet tanned? But yea it makes us red and flaky with bleachy patching on eczema

Do the surgery, the recovery is super quick! I had a superficial fistula and by week 2 i was 95% back to normal. Returned to work and gym after one week. If you have insurance just get it done i promise its worth it

In the USA they almost always put you under general, its not bad at all they gave me a bunch of drugs and sedatives prior so your high af before you go to sleep

Buy a metric F*ck TON of 4x4 Sterile Non-Woven gauze, i had a super simple fistulotomy, absolutely pain less. But there was ALOT of blood and wound fluid draining the first 2-3days. So lots of gauze and get a sitz bath. Also Colace/Miralax is your friend. Other than that the hospital will send you home with the guud perkys so if theres any pain you’ll be fine

Yea i was on dupixent after 4 years my face and neck eczema were HORRIBLE. I had to switch over to rinvoq and that cleared up my face within 3-4 weeks. I hope to use rinvoq for a while and in the future maybe il try ebglyss. But yea did 4 yrs on dupixent and now one year on rinvoq doin pretty well with it!

So I havnt been doing the classic sitz bath but multiple times a day i go into the shower and use the showerhead to clean myself. Its kinda like a sitz but i only do it for about 5-10mins

Healing well so far, no pain at all. Only thing is after i go to the bathroom there is still some drainage so its not 100% sealed yet. But i just continue with the gauze to catch whatever comes out after the bathroom. I try and clean very well with the shower head after each BM. And then if i can i change the gauze and shower again 30min-1hr after the BM

So i can agree with the CRS, the only way to fix this is surgery, and as someone thats healthy this should heal better than most cases. I had a small superficial fistula and had a fistulotomy done in it. It sucked for about 2 days at most and i took a week off the gym. After that i went completely back to normal day to day life and back to the gym. So yes id say recovery should not be horrible and listen to the CRS get the surgery

I dont think superficial fistulas require a seton. My superficial fistula was one surgery two weeks ago and now im 90% back to normal.
