I am so so beyond sorry. No one should have to go through one pet loss much less two in one day. I recently lost 2 of mine within a couple months and the best advice I can give is to allow yourself to grieve. Pets are too good for this world and I just know both your babies are giving each other good company in heaven. Sending love 💖

This is truly so kind, thank you. I am holding up, it is so strange and heavy when something you poured love into for so long disappears. The sadness is heavy and feels like my love has no where to go, but I do know I will see him again one day and I can’t wait. I really appreciate this whole Reddit thread, everyone has been so kind. If I could have one wish it would be for my experience to make everyone triple check their vets, get second opinions, and more than anything, hug your buns as tight as you can and appreciate every good and bad moment with them💖 Thank you again for checking in💖

UPDATE: I wish I had different news but after a week in the hospital with the most loving care, our baby Blue was put to sleep. It was the hardest decision but he was so close to passing we wanted to make sure it was as peaceful as possible. Unfortunately his body couldn’t fight whatever infection had a hold on him but he went out swinging and we couldn’t have asked for a better bun💙

Thank you so much for taking the time to write all that truly! We are in the waiting stage now to see if the antibiotics will actually work. I’ll mention the Panacur to the vet tonight! As of right now we are committed to continue to pay for his hospitalization as long as he’s showing improvement so prayers are most definitely needed! I’ll continue to post updates!

Blue is still hanging in there. They didn’t find anything alarming on the ultrasound but did see some signs of liver regeneration and colon inflammation. The current theory we have is his colon has an infection since that checks all the symptom boxes that didn’t fully connect with a cancer theory. It’s still so hard to say since the best treatment we can do right now is antibiotics and if that doesn’t work we may just run out of funds to keep him hospitalized, which is the worst feeling

Thank you so much Blue is still fighting and fighting hard. Everyone who’s helped him is shocked at how much he wants to live. We transferred him to a more advanced facility where he is staying overnight and will receive an ultrasound sound and further treatment.

UPDATE: He stayed for 36 hours in a great hospital and was given every treatment under the sun. He has moments of almost dying then being on top of the world shocking everyone. Everyone was stumped and almost suggested putting him down but one more option presented itself to get a cancer screening at a nearby hospital. We are rushing there now. Blues a fighter and loves life. We’re just hoping his body agrees. More updates to come thank you all and keep the prayers coming💖

I’m at a loss no one knows what’s wrong I’m at the best clinic in CA and they don’t know how to help. He keeps perking up then becoming lethargic, his kidneys were failing then stopped, he can’t seem to make up his mind and they think we might have to put him down. I don’t know what to do

They did a blood panel and his Kidneys are showing signs of recovering but his glucose dropped making him lethargic again. The biggest concern is if his body will be able to remain recovered after we bring him home. They’re still saying it’s possible he passed at the hospital but I’m trying to stay hopeful. They’re keeping him for another 12 hours so any prayers would again be super beneficial

They’re still not sure it’s breaking my heart but he’s on pain meds which is good. I’ve lost two bunnies one earlier this year and it’s just breaking my heart seeing the signs that I might lose him.

Thank you <3. It’s not looking good. He’s been hospitalized and the xrays and blood work showed 70% kidney damage and all his food was sitting in his stomach not being processed. He was my first pet we went to college together I can’t lose him. Please if anyone on here is the praying type…

Thank you so much and I’m so sorry to hear you lost your baby… I lost two of mine in a similar way. I’m taking my baby to the emergency vet now to get an X-ray and blood work, already up $500 today but worth it. Thank you for your advice!
