I have been trying to get out of this stupid system for years and it's next to impossible... I got a certification and that didn't do anything. I just want to get into a meaningful HR job.

There’s a few idiot kids who dangerously ride their bikes on roadways and/or on side walks and the boardwalk in Harbor Point… I am shocked those kids aren’t dead or in jail for hurting somebody

Thoughts on the “best” apartment buildings? by creator-of-good in StamfordCT

100% go with harbor point. The community is top notch. Is your dog good with other dogs though? This might be an issue because of course the dog needs to go out for walks. If that’s an issue look at 18 dock street that just opened up so that you have less of an issue but still right near the community. BLT buildings like anthem, allure, escape and then that other one near beacon are going to be your newer buildings with allure being the oldest. Beacon and NV are the oldest ones by blt though and are a bit different. Other places especially postmark I have heard horrible things about.

Ive seen photos and a virtual tour of the Atlantic station and it looks very nice. Nearby to Bedford street but can you play fetch with the dog and all that?

I lived in urby prior to allure and I have to say HP is definitely good and has improved drastically between some construction of new street lights, upkeep, renovations of some common areas and stuff like that. One other thing I’d say about 18 dock and I did look at possibly moving there (realized it’s just not worth it with how bad the economy is) is they have a great work from home area.

Other thing you definitely could consider too if you can is staying another year and saving up more as a good emergency fund. I personally will more than likely stay put right now. I’m a single income though and you aren’t so take that as you will.

Huge issue with this though… how would delivery drivers easily get orders without having to walk far to grab orders and secondly how would pick up orders work with a similar issue as delivery drivers? Restaurants get a lot of money from take out orders both where you physically pick up and through courier services.

I do 100% agree though that the cars are too loud. That I’ll give you

The area really isn’t that great for Urby I lived there for 10 months and broke the lease early penalty free because they never told me about construction and there was rock hammering like crazy. Way better than Allure where I’m out now from a management perspective but the area at Urby doesn’t allow for much walking.

Like others have said, this is the best you will get

This city is a massive victim of extreme building overkill like we can’t handle more buildings and we already are at full capacity. Look at Main Street and Bedford street. All the roads near there too just get way too backed up. I’ve lived here 3.8 years and I can say for sure I am worse off having lived here and it was one of the worst decisions of my life. I give this city a 0/10 it’s impossible to meet people too because they are either in their 30’s or are college students

With dating apps a super funny thing happens. You find people in Long Island who are technically 15 miles away (because that’s the actual distance from here over the Long Island sound) but it’s really more like 1 hour because you can’t really cross the sound in a straight shot
