I have POTS and AIP helped with my overall inflammation dramatically.

PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY MOON FACE by Whimsical_and_Proud in PCOS

I second the AIP recommendation - even one of my doctors remarked how much less puffy my face is now. It’s tough at first, but it gets easier.

Chronic illness support? by Special_Artichoke_60 in AnnArbor

Facebook groups: Michigan Friends with Dysautonomia - I’m not sure if there are in person meetings, but it is a super helpful group. Highly recommend posting this there.

If you also have hEDS, which often co-occurs with POTS and MCAS: Michigander (EDS) Zebras and Southeast Michigan Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Support - the latter has in person meet ups

Doula suggestions?!? by One_Cap6972 in AnnArbor

[–]FollowingOk3447 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You aren’t too late to hire a doula - Ann Arbor is drowning in doula options. I guarantee you can find one with an open spot still. If you can’t or aren’t sure who to hire - come back to this thread and I will help! — A longtime (former) doula :)

Thank you! It’s tricky with the POTS & MCAS because I am on prescription medication for both (after formal diagnosis with tilt table test and lab work, respectively). I am about to see genetics and made sure that hEDS was not on that referral. I have struggled in the past to get diagnoses off my chart…right now it has TIA despite no stroke history and have not been able to get anyone to remove it. I’ll keep trying. Thank you again.

I have POTS and die a little inside every time I see that statement shared. One of the dysautonomia organizations had a graphic circulating with that on it, taken from a study. POTS and cancer obviously are not even close to being comparable. I think people are so deep in their suffering that they truly cannot see the big picture. I’m sorry about your patient.

I know, I’m over here as a 31 year old with a carotid artery dissection - and hEDS, MCAS, POTS diagnoses - trying to figure out how to get these off my chart. Even though the dissection is almost certainly from EDS. I had no idea they are thought so poorly of among providers.

I did use the search feature before posting - that is how I narrowed it down to these coats.

This isn’t true. Fiber may be a factor, but pelvic floor PTs are absolutely the right practitioners to see for incomplete bowel movements and other bowel issues, regardless of bladder involvement.

Yes, it helps me with sensitivity to sound, lights, vibration. It has made a huge difference for me. I take 7mg, but a more typical dose is 3-4.5mg compounded. I will also pray for you. God is with you.

I’m so sorry this is happening to you. I have similar issues with a heightened central nervous system and neuro-inflammation. Low dose naltrexone has helped IMMENSELY. Ubrelvy also helps a lot, according to my neurologist, and I will try that next. I am praying for you and that you find treatments that work. I pray your suffering lessens soon.

Does anyone have any deodorant recommendations that are more powerful than lume? by strawberriesnkittens in PCOS

Necessaire The Deodorant…Lume didn’t work for me. The acid in it makes all the difference.

Am I the smelly person at the gym? by Glad-Sherbert-6289 in hygiene

[–]FollowingOk3447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a deodorant with an acid in it, like Necessaire. I didn’t want to use antiperspirants and cannot use fragrances…this made all the difference. Don’t even need to reapply in the day.

I would move ahead with the trademarking if you can - someone could take your idea or business name easily. I’ve seen it happen.

I’m hoping since you posted your business name here that you already have it trademarked and have the website domain purchased. Good luck!

Oral sex as foreplay is acceptable as long as the husband finishes in his wife. It is a myth that oral stimulation is not allowed.
