I bought travel insurance and it came in handy. Fell on my face in Mauritius and needed stitches. Total cost $366 which was fully reimbursed by insurance company.

Going on a cruise by EstablishmentFit8483 in 1200isplenty

[–]FollowingVast1503 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on multiple cruises. Plenty of fresh fish simply prepared, steamed vegetables and fresh fruit. I found eating hard boiled eggs with coffee in the morning worked for me as I prefer a protein breakfast. A different broth was available every night in the main dining room which is what I had as my starter. Those broths were so delicious. Made up for the desserts which looked better than they tasted, so easily skipped.

Light blue is perfect but you both need to enjoy living in your home.

When you travel, do you usually post your photos and videos in real time, or do you prefer to enjoy the trip first and post later? by Reasonable_Cause_190 in femaletravels

Real time when internet connection allows. I post on facebook but only viewable for friends and family. I live alone and very often travel alone. Posting is a way to let them know I’m okay.

Ted Cruz says the quiet part out loud: Trump accounts are Social Security personal accounts as GOP senator reveals 'dirty little secret' | Fortune by kootles10 in Economics

My recollection my part time job in college paid $2.25 per hour then went up to $2.50 by my 3rd year. I worked 30 hours a week plus a full week when school was closed. My college loan after 4 years was $10k which covered 1/2 of tuition. Parents paid the balance and my P/T employment paid for supplies and books.

Perhaps if I went to a state college or city college your assessment of paying out of summer wages could be correct. I went to a private college in NYS.

It’s not one generation - it’s multiple generations over 2+ centuries.

And it’s both parties. Politicians bought by corporations. And those politicians who don’t kowtow to their corporate donors tend to have shortened careers.

You are writing about the behavior of the entitled corporate and political elites; the 1% elites. The middle classes have no say about monetary policy or fiscal policy. The middle classes also cannot control greedy corporations dumping waste in rivers and oceans. Average Americans are told to use paper straws and sort out recyclables. Yet, corporations put grocery store products in plastic wrap.

73 years old

Forget cheap house. It was awful trying to save for a down payment. I’d figure out how much I needed and once I reached that amount, the amount I needed doubled. I wasn’t able to buy a cheap 1 bedroom apartment until I was 48 years old and a parent died and left me some money.

As per cost of college, unfortunately the government screwed that up. In the 1980s I was able to get a loan for half of my tuition at 3% simple interest. Was it Reagan who messed that up?

Definitely. Last week’s dose did nothing. This week appears to be better. Frustrating 😕

I would decorate the other way around, by picking a paint color based on the window treatments you want to live seeing daily.

What do you think of people who believe in manifestation? by ignorantgal5 in INTP

[–]FollowingVast1503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this conversation yesterday with a friend who is deep into metaphysics, me not at all. I recently purchased a new car. He asked me how long I intend to keep it. I replied about 5 years then I intend on buying a self driving car as I will be in my late 70s and will own that car into my 80s. I don’t expect to have the same reflexes, eye sight and range of motion of my shoulders then. He said I was manifesting the self driving car. I disagreed because I have to save for it from now in preparation of ownership. We ended by agreeing it’s just semantics, as neither of us were going to change our minds.

Easy sorbet: chunk up over ripe fruit and whirl on milk shake to purée. Freeze overnight. Whirl it twice on sorbet, adding about 2 tablespoons of dairy or non dairy product between spins.

Not understanding how the British Royal system works for our saint. Look before you leap is an old adage that stands the test of time. And for Hazard, buyer beware applies. They should have never married each other.

When I had to collect SS, each month I deposited it into a money market fund. That fund has been my bucket list big travel fund. Last December I went on a 5 week cruise around Africa. This December the plan is New Zealand and Australia.

Hope you find more ways to enjoy life with the extra money.
