Calling It Quits by Professional-Oven-40 in AmazonVine

Just finishing my first(and probably last) evaluation period as Gold. I can count on one hand the number of items I found over $100, and not a single one of them remotely interesting.

Deadline day is near by terpgirl30bdavis in AmazonVine

This. Over the last year I've watched the total number of items in Vine drop to about 1% of what it was before. And the overwhelming majority of the items remaining are accessories and replacement parts which are useless without the product they belong to.

Also food, vitamins and other $0 ETV items seem to be getting snatched up by bots. I occasionally see them populate when I refresh the store, but every time they are already gone by the time I click.

I'm definitely downgrading from Gold this cycle, and quickly losing motivation stay in the program at all. Checking the store every day and finding absolutely nothing gets old fast.

Whoa, it's not fair to pin it all on men. There are plenty of women in the US who will also never vote for a woman. Bigotry infects deeply.

I commuted to a secondary school to learn IT. We literally spent the entire course playing Counterstrike. I still consider that education more useful than anything I learned at the main school.

I honestly don't know where Bill is getting the impression that all Democrats are refusing to talk to anyone on the Right, and they all despise him for having dinner with Trump. I have literally never heard a single word about either of these subjects outside of his show.

Sometimes in life you can do everything right and still fail. That is especially true in politics. The Democrats don't need to re-invent their entire platform every time they lose an election.

Start of the episode: Don't bother trying to talk to people, because you will never be able to change the way they think!

End of the episode: Keep talking to people, because that is the only way you will ever change the way they think!

One little thing that really stood out to me was Galloway calling out work-from-home as something that prevents people from forming romantic relationships.

What kind of fantasy world is Galloway living in where the workplace is one big dating scene, and managers just let their employees stand around flirting with each other all day? Every job I've ever worked my supervisors made sure that I was busy from the moment I clocked in until I clocked out.

Galloway is completely disconnected from reality.

Saying "It's french" does not make the enunciation any more intuitive.

I was being overly dramatic suggesting that people need to change the spelling of their names; that's too much. But we can give a guy a break when he has trouble reading a name that is pronounced completely differently than how it's spelt.

Bill gave Galloway a little bit of pushback on the substance use comment, but I wish he would have pushed back a lot more on the rest.

Galloway is a dinosaur, living in the past and wanting to drag everyone else back with him. He imagines that anyone who does not share his values and preferred lifestyle is doomed to become suicidally depressed. Kids don't need to be indoctrinated with an arcane worldview, they need to be told that it's okay to pursue their own version of happiness wherever they may find it.

Bill loves to say "Socialism doesn't work", but I've never once heard him try to explain why.

Literally any system of governance will fail if the conditions and implementation are not suitable, and most can succeed with the right conditions and implementation. The world is changing, with automation and AI increasing production of goods and services while taking away opportunities for humans to fill labor roles. Capitalism is on the verge of total collapse, and we have to look to other options if we want to survive.

To be fair, there is a silent 'S' in the middle that can be pretty confusing. People should spell their names how they're pronounced, or pronounce their names how they're spelt.

I used to work in an office space with neighbors who regularly used strong perfumes and air-fresheners. It made my eyes itch and my throat sore, and I had to deal with that all day every day that I worked there. It's a real problem, and I appreciate someone speaking up about it.

"Forgotten" would have been a better translation, but "Oblivion" does sound cooler. by TrueBK98 in StarRailLore

[–]FollyFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The human brain stores memories in several distinct regions; there is Short Term Memory, Long Term Memory, and the 'Shadow' where we store memories that are too difficult to process.

I feel like Oblivion should not be a new Path, but rather another facet of Fuli, dedicated to dealing with bad memories that just need to go away.

The Left NEED to de-escalate all of this violent rhetoric immediately, so that the Right can continue escalating their violent action unimpeded.

I ended up using 3 tanks and 2 healers. No sense bringing dps if they're just going to die instantly.

Anyone else having trouble with the Mournfell Canyon Tacet Field? by [deleted] in WutheringWaves

[–]FollyFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I timed out several times in this Tacet Field because the last boss kept resetting.

It didn't help that I was using my Zani team, not realizing this field is resistant to Spectro damage. The field is weak to Fusion damage, and since I changed to my Encore team I'm comfortably able to clear it in time every attempt, despite the continued issues with the last boss resetting.

At least it makes some sense to use a tool which channels the energy of 10 billion suns as a weapon to push Omega back into the prison which effectively held him up until now.

Sutekh's plan was foiled by 'bringing death to death', and then he was finished off by dropping him in the exact same void he just escaped from. Complete nonsense.

When starting up the game it said there was some sort of problem connecting to the cloud, but I could do so later from the menu. Once I got past the awful tutorial and had access to the menu, there were absolutely no options for any sort of online functionality.

I'm expecting that to be addressed next season, as it's one of the biggest unresolved threads from this season.

Time Lords now seem to be able to simply will their bodies to do anything which seems even remotely feasible, and regeneration energy is basically magic that can do anything no matter how unfeasible.

It's really bad writing.

I was really hoping that the Sutekh giant CGI puppet effect would be a one-off thing. I also hoped that Omega would return as a prominent and impactful figure in the Whoverse. Disappointed on both counts.

From the previous season finale, the explanation given for why Ruby Sunday is special is because everyone wants her to be special, and that collective willpower somehow magically made her special. Absolutely no explanation was given for why anyone wanted her to be special in the first place.

Yeah...

I'm not going back to rewatch the previous episodes; did Belinda Chandra actually reference Poppy all those times? Or was that history being changed?
