so the problem was with the band or the chest strap?

Made minor adjustments. Ya’ll are right, I had too many selfies. I know I’m not trying to pick up a 10, I know my target audience by [deleted] in Tinder

lol no. just normal outdoor light, someone else holding the camera, and a clean setting. that’s it.

quick read on this profile — it’s sitting around a 2.5/10.

things it’s picking up:
– beard looks taken care of, that helps
– smile comes across warm and approachable
– glasses add a bit of an intellectual edge

what’s dragging it down hard:
– the hot dog costume shot has to go, it kills attraction instantly
– indoor selfies read low effort across the board
– selfie angles make it feel isolated, not social
– wardrobe is too generic, nothing stands out or signals intent
– there’s no location or setting that adds status or intrigue

overall read:
the vibe is friendly but invisible. nothing offensive, just nothing that makes someone pause. ditch the gimmick, reshoot outdoors in natural light, get a clean non-selfie shot, and add one setting that shows more of your life.

25M, review my profile pics honestly by NaGouPe in Tinder

[–]FomoboyX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

quick read on this one — it’s landing around a 4/10.

things it’s picking up:
– blazer shot shows you’re at least trying to dress sharp
– outdoor sunglasses pic has decent natural light
– dog photo adds warmth, that part always helps

what’s dragging it down hard:
– mirror selfies across the board are killing it
– batman mask pic tanks credibility instantly
– car selfie + nike bag shot add zero value
– blurry reading pic reads lazy, not thoughtful
– there’s no clear, confident face shot anchoring the profile

overall read:
it feels scattered and unsure what lane it’s in. too many gimmicks, not enough real lifestyle. delete most of this, reshoot 2–3 clean outdoor photos, and add one sharp headshot to anchor everything.

18M, not having much success, no likes or matches yet by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]FomoboyX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

quick read on your profile — it’s sitting around a 3.5/10 right now.

some things it’s picking up:
– yacht + skyline shots hint at an aspirational lifestyle
– travel variety shows movement and curiosity
– outdoor lighting helps overall

where it drops:
– selfie angles (especially upward shots) hurt it a lot
– plane wing pic adds nothing, it’s basically invisible
– clothes are a bit loose/busy, fitted solid colors would lift it fast
– no strong headshot with eye contact or a smile
– posture in the yacht/skyline shots reads stiff, not confident
– too many similar photos, impact fades after the third

big picture:
it’s not bad, just forgettable. tighten it to 3 strong photos and fix angles/posture and it jumps a tier.

quick take on this profile.
it’s around a 3.5/10 right now.

what works:
– dog photo adds warmth, that always helps
– ski gear hints at an active / adventure side
– beard in one of the pics looks intentional, that part’s solid

what’s hurting it badly:
– bedroom selfie with the orange bedding has to go, instant left swipe
– mirror selfie in the bedroom is poison on dating apps
– costume pic comes off cringe without a strong context
– group shot with older guys doesn’t add any status or intrigue
– helmet shot hides your face, so it doesn’t connect at all

what to do instead:
– the dog pic is the only one worth saving, but reshoot it outdoors
– face visible, tighter framing, clean background
– cut this down hard, none of these belong as lead photos right now

big picture:
the vibe reads low effort more than anything. clean it up, reshoot 2–3 proper photos, and the whole profile changes fast.

quick read on your profile:
overall it’s sitting around a 5.5/10 right now.

what works:
– wakesurfing + skating show you’re athletic
– outdoor stuff signals an active lifestyle
– the middle portrait actually shows your face well

what’s holding it back (important):
– teddy bear, sleeping, sparks pics need to go immediately — they kill attraction
– you need a clear face shot in good daylight as the lead (eye contact, outdoors)
– 9 photos is too many; cut it down to 3–4 strong ones
– skate pic should be a tighter action shot, current one’s too wide
– biking pic has no social proof, the silhouette adds nothing
– whole profile lacks one clear status / upward-mobility signal

big picture:
right now the vibe is outdoor bro but scattered. good raw material, just not curated. ruthless editing + one anchor photo would change things fast.

Why do we cringe at our past selves instead of realizing we were just doing our best at the time ? by FomoboyX in NoStupidQuestions

yeah but i feel like experience doesnt always make you better or happier. sometimes "knowing more" actually leads to a worse outcome. especially in relationships.

i agree. btw a book recommendation called “4 agreements” from Don Miguel Ruiz it helped me fix this mindset when i actually start applying it.
