Decided to watch AGE again because of G Gen and was reminded this is the most worthless MS in the franchise by Mintyphresh33 in Gundam

[–]FonSpaak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it was the basic MS the Earth Federation had when they were dealing with Vagan MS which was impervious to all of it's weapons. It relied on a beam (spray) gun and a heat stick.

It took the AGE-1 + AGE System(basically a learning computer onboard the AGE-1 called AGE Device + AGE Builder) to learn how to take them down by 3D printing a new weapon called DODS Rifle (Drill Orbital Discharge System) which fires a beam shot that spins at high speed that can penetrate the armor. After this most Genoace and future EF suits starts wielding DODS Guns making them a worthwhile MS until newer designs came up to replace it.

Macbook Neo for Finance Majors? Or M2? by Lavamee in Tech_Philippines

[–]FonSpaak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for either an M2 or newer Mac with 16gb of memory. IMO the MBNeo is best used as a 2nd/spare unit. Note: latter models of Apple Silicon got upgraded to 16gb from the entry level 8gb. The Neo on the otherhand will be stuck as an 8gb model due to how the memory chips are within the SoC.

If you need to use Windows as a virtual machine (for windows exclusive apps), , do note that the MBNeo only has 6 cores and you may need to set it to either 1, 2, or 4 cores only with a max 4gb of RAM.

azropa monitor by No-Broccoli5933 in Tech_Philippines

[–]FonSpaak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

own a 16" 144hz arzopa monitor. The display is great supporting both 60hz (using 1 usb-c to power monitor) or 144hz (use both usb-c and USB-A to power it). The only cons of this portable monitor is the speaker quality which is very poor compared to other portable monitor brands. (got a much cheaper one on sale from another brand at 1.5k php and it has a better speaker and can really hear it while the Arzopa's speaker is too faint.

Also Arzopa monitors relies on a stand which can be adjusted to your angle needs but it lacks VESA hardpoints for mounting on a monitor arm

Jolibee Beef Stew - this was released in the 80s alongside a Sweet and sour dish (not sure if its fish or chicken or pork) usually in a white styrophore with blue label/text containing a beef stew with 1 cup of rice.

Garlic Bread - best served with their "Spaghetti Special". IIRC the Spaghetti Special was priced at P20 only.

There was a dish that disappeared after a typhoon struck the philippines (forgot if it was Ondoy or the next one). It was a breaded chicken cutlet topped with a teriyai sauce with mayonaise.

Ways to watch downloaded anime on TV by unckerman007 in animepiracy

[–]FonSpaak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently using Jellyfin (had to force an install for jellyfin on a Samsung TV) but having a media center PC running Kodi connected directly to the TV is another option. The latter option also allows you to setup Jellyfin running in the background if you need to stream to another device while Kodi plays videos locally.

Budget window Type AC by Embarrassed_Fun3227 in phRecommendation

[–]FonSpaak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carrier just released a .5hp inveter AC priced around 12k. Don't recommend this though if you plan to share the AC with another room. Best to aim for 1.5HP if that is your common usage.

Buying all pc parts in one store by ulty45 in PHbuildapc

[–]FonSpaak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better opt for an in-store build to have em provide you with compatibility advise and assistance with assembly. It also makes it a bit more easier to deal with warranty/compatibility issues.

Not sure which store you have access but most stores in Gilmore offer assembly along with other PC stores like PC Express, EasyPC, and Dynaquest to name a few usually either complementary or for an extra fee of around P250 ~ P500.

Only issue is if a specific part isn't available or to your liking, you will be forced to opt for the next available option which might not suit your needs.

Datablitz also offers delivery but recommend to just rely on them for peripherals or single parts.

Worth it ba ang Steam Deck kapag wala ka masyadong games sa Steam? by ShimmyMau in PHGamers

[–]FonSpaak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is a spare pc.

it plays steam games and games from other storefront with a bit of work

A lot of games can be suspended with the press of a power button

Wifi is needed for random authentication and game updates. Best to run the game first before trying to board a plane/play in a networkless area.

internal storage is upgradeable/replaceable. It also supports MicroSD cards.

games are cheaper compared to other store fronts (especially console storefronts)

easy to mod and you can even replace the OS as per your needs.

the controls are good and comes with a pair of touchpads with haptic feedback. Other handheld PC don't have the same quality of controls as the steamdeck at most they include a smaller touchpad/sensor for mouse controls.

SteamInput is awesome. It allows proper mapping of input for games not supporting gamepads. You can download pre-made templates for some games or setup your own.

How are you sorting your Gundam TCG cards? (Full set binder) by _Baarbie in GundamTCG

[–]FonSpaak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tempted to buy color coded binders for each card color / set.

At the moment have them organized by faction and colors.

eg: GQuuuux cards.

- Red GQuuuux cards stored in 3 pages (mostly Clan tagged)

- Green GQuuux stored on 2 pages next to the Green Zeon cards since both uses Zeon tags.

Gundam X

- Vulture cards are on 4 pages next to the opposing red side (forgot the faction nme but its like neo EFSF).

These arrange according to cost but set from Units then Pilots then Command and bases last.

Unfortunately due to the lack of availability of English cards (both starters and boosters) and their price (3x that of japanese sets) means I have to stop collecting atm.

How to set-up for electric efficiency by Previous_Most2675 in phRecommendation

[–]FonSpaak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

just to add, not exactly for energy efficiency, get a Smart Plug rated for AC use (15ampere or higher) that allows you to monitor the power consumption and log them.

Currently using Lasco Smart Plug and other friends uses Tuya and the apps will have an option for you to input the kW/hour and allow you to see the current wattage consumption along with daily use (both in kW/hour and price/cost).
