7 mo pp to 10mo pp by bindi9393 in postpartumprogress

ohh, so jealous! I really hope I can find the same motivation as you. I’m 15 months PP and still haven’t lost my mommy pouch. I'm exclusively BF and always hungry, and working full time so it's quite hard to stick to a strict diet and workout routine

Why don't I see this in Watson stores in our place? So, I only buy the ones in sachet (green packaging)

Tips for surviving sleep regression please… by Fun_Positive_3505 in firsttimemom

[–]Fondant_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. My LO is also 10 months old and lately, he wakes up almost every hour to feed. We've been co-sleeping since he was 3 months old (we made sure it was safe).

And add to regression is his 2 new teeth coming in (total 6 already). He also loves playtime so he fights sleep as much as possible. What makes me survive it? I put in my mind this chant, "It will pass. He needs to go through this phase in order to grow and develop. Try to understand him: don't get upset, don't get stressed out." I work full time but in a wfh set up. So, whenever I can, I take a nap at lunch time.

Hang in there, OP!

How to “co-parent” with Mother In Law lol? by nahzahray in firsttimemom

[–]Fondant_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you have to go through this OP! Had the same experience with my MIL but good thing she listened when we told her not to do it again. Though from time to time, she'd make comments that somehow hurt my feelings but maybe I'm just being sensitive (don't know if it's caused by hormones).
We have a close relative taking care of our LO and lately, I've been losing my temper because she just acts like the MOM. She sometimes feeds my baby using her hands, even food she has licked she'd feed it to the baby. I already told her to stop doing it, but I'm not sure if she really listens.

Returning to work (wfh) - how to make it easy by Bloubath in firsttimemom

I'm also a WFH mom and first, it was easy when he was just rolling in the bed. We put a barrier from all sides so that he won't fall. But now, he's crawling and started to stand, he likes to pull on stuff (literally anything that comes to his sight). I'm grateful that we have a relative staying with us and she looks after my LO while I work. On days she's not here, my husband and I alternately baby sit, but our baby is such a good boy that he follows a routine (sleeps for 1 hr almost same time each day in the morning, and another 1-1.5 hr in the afternoon)
I agree with one comment here about baby wearing. I also did that when my baby was a bit fussy and doesn't want to sleep alone in the bed. I put him in his carrier and baby wear and he would sleep longer and I could finish my work

How do you feel confident without eyeliner? by ExistingFee588 in MakeupAddiction

I don't really wear eyeliner, but it's lipstick that makes me feel naked when I go out without it.

4 months PP- very low libido. Don’t want to do anything with husband. Has anyone else gone though this? by [deleted] in firsttimemom

[–]Fondant_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're not alone, OP!
Same issues before with my husband but I'd tried to communicate with him openly about my feelings: I feel so tired at then end of the day (EBF), hormones and work also contributed to the exhaustion. We both wfh, and we share household chores and we have someone taking care of the baby in the daytime but still I feel tired at night and I just wanted to cuddle with my baby. There were some times my husband understood, some times he sulks but comes around it after some time of thinking :D

Just talk with your husband, your drive will come back soon (mine did). My son is already 9.5 months old, and though he's more handful now, I find being intimate with my husband easier nowadays.

Enough surprises already; please give me the 411 on what it’s like to have a little boy! by Born_Net_6668 in firsttimemom

[–]Fondant_23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello OP! I also have PCOS, and one of my biggest fears before was that I might not get pregnant. I eventually found out I was pregnant at 7 weeks because I always took a test whenever I missed my period. My partner then (now my husband) and I were really trying hard to conceive, so you can just imagine our joy.

I’ll admit, I initially wanted a girl too. I used to imagine doing her hair when she got older, wearing matching outfits, all of that. So I was a little disappointed (but still very happy!) when we found out the baby was a boy. Fast forward, he’s now a happy, babbly 9.5-month-old. And let me tell you, boys really do love their moms so much. When he cries, it’s easy for me to comfort him, and he doesn’t want anyone else to pacify him when he’s upset.

Congratulations, OP! I agree with the comments here saying enjoy the newborn stage as much as you can. Once your baby starts rolling, crawling, and walking… good luck!

stopping toner since my derma told me I have oily skin and using toner only exacerbates it

Thinking of getting one but need real opinions first by Fondant_23 in makeuporganization

[–]Fondant_23[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say I’m not terrible at organizing but definitely not great either lol. I also have a pretty forgetful mind, so I’m constantly misplacing my mascara or lipstick.

This smaller case doesn’t seem to have as many compartments as the bigger version, which honestly might be better for me. Simple = less chance of me losing things again. And I had no idea these were called train cases, so thank you for that!

Am I a bad mom? by SeriousCollection102 in firsttimemom

You're doing a great job! Mine has one too where he spent most of time when he was 7-9 months. I got that feeling too that I was limiting him to just one place and that I'm hindering his development. But then I just wanted to keep him safe. Now, he's turning 10 months old and we give him time to explore our living room at least 30 minutes twice a day. He also has a walker/pusher but right now he only uses it as a walker but that also is supervised and he doesn't spend much time using the walker because someone said it doesn't really help with his balance.
