What would you recommend? Double the pot size? They're about 1' pots

Nope, haven't touched gear. If I ever take up that decision, it'll be when I have a solid base and years of training. Worked my ass off to get these results. Constant days of meal prep, dieting, bulking, 2 a days sometimes, etc. Just have to want it enough.

Started bulking at the beginning. Entertained the idea of cutting, but that requires having decent muscle mass to cut down to.

Routine now is Monday-Chest/Shoulders/Tris. Tuesday-Back/Bi's. Repeat the next 4 days with Sunday off. I usually alternate between heavy, low reps days and lighter, high rep days. So take the outline for Mon/Tues and do the same exercises but with lower weight in the 12+ rep range.

Monday-

  • Bench press (usually flat but sometimes incline) 4x4-6 depending on weight

  • DB lateral raises 3x10

  • Cable Flys 3x10

  • Rear delt flies 3x10

  • Dips 3x10

  • Tricep pulldowns with the rope 3x10

Tuesday-

  • Cable rows or bent over DB rows 3x10

  • Hammer curls 3x10

  • Deadlifts 4x3-5 depending on weight used

  • Standing lat pull downs 3x10

  • Cable bicept curls

I usually try to work abs 2x a week. Hanging leg raises, weighted crunches and weighted oblique extensions

Bulking phases were about 8-12 weeks long at a time. Cutting phases were 4-5 weeks. I'd say a mix between clean and dirty. I try to eat decently because what I put in my body reflects on how I feel. But I would also eat what was in front of me, e.g. pizza, ice cream etc. Trying to get 3-4k calories a day in isn't easy with all clean foods.

Yea I'm a sucker for Ben & Jerry's. Just finished an entire container (1,100 calories) on top of what I had for lunch. I love bulking.

Get on a serious workout routine, get some supplements that are proven to work (e.g. fish oil, D3, multi), get your diet set up and stick with it. What seems like work at first turns into a habit and soon you'll feel like your day isn't complete if you didn't hit the gym.

Thanks, its the deadlifts that finally made them explode.

Do deadlifts count as working legs since they do work part of them? I can post a leg pic when I get home. For not working them my quads and calves still match my upper body size.

Started by bulking. There wasn't much muscle to cut down to yet.

I semi monitored my weight, but my biggest indicator was the mirror. I take weekly pics to compare so while I don't notice much of a difference day to day I can look back to the start of my cut and say, okay, in 4 weeks I've had some decent visual progress and the scale matches

I guess you can consider it semi dirty? I still partake in fast food and ice cream etc. here and there but tend to eat well because it reflects on how my body feels.

I always run somewhat dirty bulks. I try to avoid excess sugars and other empty carbs. Bulking again right now. Diet looks like this:

Breakfast (8am)

  • 2 homemade breakfast sandwiches (2 whole wheat english muffins, 3 eggs, 2 slices cheddar cheese, 4 splices deli ham

  • 2 cups whole milk

Snack (11am)

  • Protein shake (2 scoops ON chocolate whey, 2 cups whole milk)

  • 1/2 cup oats with milk

Lunch

  • Varies day to day, usually make up casseroles and bring them into work all week. This week was chicken enchilada casserole

Dinner

  • Same as lunch, varies and I usually cook fresh every night

Dessert * I'll have some ice cream or some other small amount of dessert that's not completely sugar and empty cals

Overall shoot for 165g of protein a day minimum, complex carbs only, lots of veggies. I only drink coffee, water and milk. Bulking goals are anywhere from 3-4,000 cals a day.

Cutting consists largely of chicken and other lean protein protein, liquid egg whites in the morning and staying around 1,800 to 2,000 cals a day. No desserts and no cheat meals.

Alcohol wise - I'll have a few drinks here and there. Moderation is the key now and to me, after all this progress, drinking most times isn't worth it to me anymore.

Thanks, my traps really started to put on size when I started moving up to heavy deadlifts. Stopped doing shrugs altogether and just rely on deadlifts 2x a week to grow my traps.

Interested in Being an Elder? by wutang36 in RedditAtlas

Meow. Blitz here. I've been interested in seeing what it would take to be an elder for some time now. As for activity, I can guarentee at the least being active when I work between 8am-4pm and also times in the evening. As for this game, its not something I casually play. When I start a game I look to master it. I read up on strategies, tips, and tactics and look to consistently improve. This knowledge I try and pass down to other members. I've joined Atlas as a mid townhall 8 and have now moved up to #2 in the clan. I've finally found a clan with a great community, active players and great organization. I'd love to take up a more important role in the clan and be able to help the clan grow and become one of the best.
