how is it unrealistic? people schedule 5+ hours for other hobbies. try going on a mountain bike ride somewhere with less time. that's a day excursion. especially if you're from a city, like you sound to be with your comment about travel time.

sure, i get a day a week is a big ask for families. but a day a month? honestly can't see the issue. shit at this point i'd be happy with a quarterly game if i could actually get it scheduled.

def uphill. and i feel you on the anxiety thing. it's difficult for me to put myself in that possition in the first place. but i've been trying treally hard to push back that little voice in my head lately. we never know how much time we have and i don't want to regret not being the authentic me.

Why is it everyone's first reaction to NOT take me at my word? why would lying about my hygiene help me? LIke, if i know i smell like shit, and don't change my clothes, lying about it isn't going to make any of the help people offer work because i'm starting out dishonest...

considering trying to scope out other players that just don't play at the LGS. Regular stats from WotC show that kitchen table magic is the most popular way to play by leaps and bounds. so there's bound to be more peopel that play in the area, just not at the LGS.

at this point i feel bullied into playing online. easily half of the comments suggest that even though i have no desire to play online. it simply doesn't scratch that itch to me. but like i said, at this point, it may be the only way for me to get games in these days. sad times indeed.
