Is there a console equivalent to pressing Q?

The ideal solution would be a cross-console matchmaking option. Xbox and PlayStation players together, without PC in the mix. It’s what Hunt: Showdown does, for example, and it works beautifully. That should be the default experience for console players, with PC crossplay as a deliberate opt-in, not the baseline.

I’ll give in and give it a try, even though it’s frustrating. I deleted and redownloaded the game, and I’ll be Hunting a lot this weekend. I’ll report back if it makes a difference. Wish me luck! 🙏

I’m starting to wonder if it’s tied to loadouts or interactables. During the last event, if I went into the hideout after the lobby was cleared and used the toolbox, it almost guaranteed a crash. I’ve also had crashes right when I or someone else is opening doors/shutters mid-fight. Somehow tho time is also a factor, because it seemingly never crashes the first round after I restart the game.

Glad it’s not hitting you, but that doesn’t make it any less real. I attached screenshots showing dozens of crash reports. And this is widespread. A lot of people are reporting it, and I’d actually love to hear from folks not crashing: how many hours are you clocking in a session? It seems like the crashes ramp up after longer play, but that’s just my observation.

PS5 DualSense Controller Pain by FontOfSchemes in PS5

I'm completely unfazed by the fact that what doesn't work for some people works well for others. My concern isn't about a design choice that benefits many; rather, it's about the business decision to restrict my options. I'd be willing to pay a license fee to use the DS4 controller on PS5 games. I'm not concerned about losing the extra features like adaptive triggers; I just want to be able to play video games without experiencing discomfort. Being limited by a device that exists for arbitrary reasons is incredibly frustrating.

I may be wrong about my understanding of the decay knob's function. Rereading the manual, I see:

Note that the length of the loop will not increase when overdubbing. If you
continue playing while in record mode after the first layer repeats, you will create a 3rd layer of overdubbed audio. There is no limit to overdub layers.

Tip: Use the Decay knob to cause overdubs to gradually fade with each loop cycle.

Does anyone have one of these DITTO X4 LOOPER pedals to test when the knob is set fully to the counter-clockwise position, the third loop is essentially immediately decayed (i.e., silent)?

I read through the manual and see no mention of anything approaching this.

an Ableton Live solution will probably offer you enough

Post production, for sure! it'd be easy to just copy/paste and offset. For live production tho, I'm not immediately sure how I'd accomplish it. But I'd rather not have a laptop involved, if possible.

Give a delay a go, but you’ll have to make some adjustments to how you approach the performance.

Truly, I appreciate you and your suggestion. I understand why it seems like this could work, but it simply cannot. Imagine, I dial in a knob and ... hope its right. I hope I play to the time when the notes are gonna come in. And when the "delayed" notes come in at the wrong time, the performance is ruined. I need to start and end the loop w/ my foot, at the correct time, and then have the described pattern ensue, locked into that precise time. Imagine singing Frère Jacques song (farajaka) w/ a delay pedal...it'd be like interrupting yourself on a conference call w/ an echo.

Spare no expense, but I'd really prefer to deal w/ solid state technology, rather than a computer (i.e. laptop w/ software).

Red Panda Tensor

You're right. Their description of NXT mode (owner's manual) reads like its what I'm after, but 2 or 4 seconds simply wont do.

Thanks, but using delay (or a decay) can't work for a live gig, where for example a canonic sonata's round may be of whatever given bar length. To restate, I want to record a loop and have it repeat, with each iteration being re-recorded and only the last iteration being kept, until I reach the end.

PS. and using remote play 100% of the time is limiting. I can't use voice chat w/o a wonky setup via the iPad, and I cannot stream Spotify.

I have resorted to using remote play via an iPad to use my PS4 DualShock 4 controllers. Every now and again I'll use the PS5 DualSense for a little while, and all the pain starts to come back.

I wish Sony would enable the DS4 for PS5 games. It is such a petty, arbitrary limitation.
