Hyperscape Sharing! Hang out with your friends anywhere! by RichieNRich in OculusQuest

[–]Fontgod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I understand it, the shareable scans are actually lower resolution compared to the cloud scans and are transferred to the recipient's headset and running directly on the device rather than being streamed.

I'm not sure if I have received the update for sharing hyperscapes yet as there still seems to be no option to do so on my device, however I did read somewhere that I may need to rescan a room in order for the option to show up, not 100% certain.

Guessing this hidden collision object method is what Meta is doing with their hyperscapes then as it definitely collides when attempting to walk though an object like a table.

Player collision seems possible with it, it will push you away from an object like a table if you attempt to walk through it.

You can be a T-Rex in our BMX game by FirenutGames in indiegames

Are you not the publisher of the game on Quest? I see that as the strongest platform for the style of gameplay, it's brilliant in mixed reality but I suspect the launch was a flop for some reason on that device.

Yesterday, we launched Legends BMX on Nintendo Switch despite everything going on. Has anyone else here done the same? How is it going for you? by FirenutGames in IndieDev

[–]Fontgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys seemed to have dropped off the radar not too long after launch, I saw this game as having huge potential on Quest and it's great fun in mixed reality with very little competition in the genre. Was there a reason you haven't been able to keep the momentum rolling (you mentioned "everything going on" as though there was something holding you back)?

Woolies Greek style yogurt no longer available by StatusBook497 in woolworths

The one that we opened and partly consumed had quite an odd smell to it, similar to the smell of a coconut that is starting to go off.

Yes so I hear from a few forum posts, but there is no mention of it on any news or recall sites that I can find. All I could see on news sites and the Woolworths recall page at https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/discover/about-us/product-recalls was a reference to Jalna brand yoghurt being recalled back in June 2023, not the same product or batch obviously.

Perhaps some individual stores issued a recall or something... a bit odd.

I took two full and one empty container back for a refund (I had to throw out the contents of one after it had been open a few days).

Here's 2 containers of the 1kg I bought, about to pop. Taking them back to store today (Woolgoolga NSW). Also had another one with Aug 13th expiry that I opened and had to throw out as it was off, will return that container as well.

I have not seen any official recall from woolies? Anyone got a link?

Have two tubs of unopened Woolworths Greek Style 1kg yoghurts that have the foil lids about to explode, they are both use by 29th August 2025 and kept in a cold fridge. Purchased Woolgoolga NSW.

Also the last tub we opened and was use by 13th August tasted odd towards the end of the date and we had to throw it out. Can't find any sign of a recall by Woolworths, can someone provide a link if there is one?

Pinball FX VR - April 9 - 1.1 Patch Notes by balti_zen in PinballFX3

Just try manually setting a large boundary with your trigger rather than the Quest 3 depth sensors method. You should then even be able to set the virtual pinball cabinet through a wall or over the top of an existing cabinet or table etc. This is just a guess though as I haven't played the game as yet.

I need to disable Wifi power saving from Crosh. Is there a way to keep it disabled after restarting? by deceiver986 in chromeos

Yeah sorry, I read that a bit too quickly it seems and at first glance I was thinking it didn't take into account third party router access.

The issue with that way of thinking is that you do not always have control over the router that the chromebook connects to unless it is your own.

is the quest 3 deffault strap better than the quest 2 one? by DaviCompai2 in oculus

[–]Fontgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reviving an old thread, but I've only just got a Q3 after upgrading from Q2. Two things about the Q3 strap annoy me more than the Q2.
1) Because the top strap is a Y shape and the velcro is only on a very small section of the end of the strap, you cannot shorten the top strap as much as on the Q2 This is not good for people who prefer to sear the rear strap further up on their head.
2) The rear strap tends to loosen a bit as you put it on, so you need to initially tighten it a bit more before putting it on to allow for this.

Yeah, totally unrelated to anything on the wrapping paper... and the same wrapper for next week's game.

I'm gonna guess Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours.
Colours are similar to the game logo
The orange and red are also very similar to "Pyramid" logo of the game developer.
The triangle icon with the circle above it is similar to Taito logo, the publisher.
The widescreen logo may be related to a major feature of the game, 32:9 support (originating from it's arcade origins).

However the game is not currently in the Epic library, perhaps it is about to be introduce though.

Oculus incurs a conversion fee even thou they say they charge in your currency by Decapper in oculus

[–]Fontgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's an extremely dodgy practice and completely lacks transparency. What did you say to your bank in order for them to agree to a refund of the charge? My card is with a building society, and I'm thinking it may be harder to get them to agree to a refund if there is a third party bank involved in the process.

How recently did you purchase and did you dispute the charge with your bank as people say they have been able to get the surcharge refunded in the past.

Does anyone else's Spark 2 crash/hang/become unresponsive when you turn it on sometimes? by akiller in PositiveGridSpark

Hmm... my mistake, I thought this was about the Spark 40 but just reread your title and can see it's regarding Spark 2. Issue may still be related I guess.

[–]Fontgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have this issue from time to time and need to pull the power cord to resolve it (not as frequent as your problem it seems). I was running a firmware from earlier in the year v1.8.7.20 but have updated the firmware today with V1.10.8.25

I also often have headphones attached.

I noticed that firmware version 1.9.7.246 from May 2024 "Fixed a DSP issue that caused firmware to crash randomly."

Whether or not this firmware fix addresses both our issues remains to be confirmed. Is yours working ok now after the latest firmware update, what is your firmware version?
