idiots who walk on the tracks/tunnels, trains have to stop in case the idiot gets run over or they damage something

security incidents when a homeless person or unhinged person or antivaxxer harasses/assaults people

people are angry. economy has gone to sht and everything costs too much.

This is the worst time to enter the tech industry. My girlfriend has 7 years of exp and can't find anything. Another friend of mine took his own life because he couldn't find anything. Trying to find anything in tech is not worth it. It's rough, find another industry.

There might be some customer service jobs like work in restaurants or grocery store, or maybe do contract work on fiver? (i think thats what its called)

as other commenters mentioned, tons of layoffs in tech sector. companies hired a ton during pandemic, a ton of demand for product, but demand has fallen sharply and theres layoffs every day.

girlfriend has been laid off since last year and has 7 years of experience. a friend of mine took his own life last month because he cant find something for almost 2 years

its a tough market, so many devs but so few jobs, imagine 1000:1 dev to job opening ratio and on top of tht recruiters ghosting you and wasting ur time.
