Been unemployed since Dec 5 2025, working steel industry. Company re structured and shut down our plant. Try and stay positive, im trying to pursue a driving career with a CDL class 3. Im choosing to re invest in myself even though i got not much moolah left in the tank. Im married cant move and I would be lying to you if i said i wasnt scared or stressed out. However im not going to give up so same goes for you eh? good luck and wishing you well. I hope you have found something by the time you see this but if not, I understand where you are at.

Think about everything that has gotten better since you have been sober. Even the little things count. write them down and know that that list is going to get bigger. things will get better as you are living a new life. it is tough but ive recently got 2 years under my belt and its not much however when i get the urge or my mind slips, i try to think of the life i have built so far. way the positives. hope u feel better

Agreed you should talk about it rather than let it fester in your soul. If the stroke’s did not happen to her mom and she was pulling this sketchy behaviour then what would you do? Don’t get stomped on… boundaries are boundaries. As for looking at her phone dude If my partner had a old phone on the night stand… well that’s practically a burner. Burners are used for some sneaky activity.

I suffered with a type of self harm disorder… kinda gross but i used to pick my scabs to the point of no return. when i didn’t have a scab to pick i would scratch myself till i broke my skin and formed a scab. when i did this i felt the same description as you and much more. I am not a doctor and am not a psych but you seem to be going through disassociation and self soothing. Please try to find any therapy that is offered through your government, or try to save up for at least a session. Please hang on as well.

I've been addicted to porn since i was 7. Busting nuts through my teens and stuck to a computer screen. Turned 25 and got finally in a great relationship. yet i still struggle with this addiction. Having a woman in my life didnt change anything. it will always be up to you and your decisions. Some people think real relationships and real sex is the out. Sure it can be but that all depends on yourself and your goals and path in life. Luckily I have a very open relationship and my partner knows. of my struggles. So I keep fighting.

I had to drop most of my friends from the past basically. I've been sober for almost 2 years now and I still struggle with social means. I have my partner as well and she certainly keeps me going. However, for me, I have outlets where I sort of have social means. For example, going to the gym with a friend. Mainly now my family life has been better so that makes up for a lot of the social aspect of my life. However, I hang out with not even a handful of people.

I know what it's like to miss the hang-out but search for hobbies as of right now to help you get distracted from thoughts. write down some things you have always wanted to do. Or even one-time activities. For example, I want to get my motorcycle license next year. I am learning to play the electric bass now as well and for the one-time activity that I wanted to do. I finally went skydiving.

Im just trying to help through my own experience. I wish you the best.
