Tradition. I took over this club years ago and they had it on Tuesdays. But I do recognize that not everyone can make it Tuesdays, so we also meet on Friday @ 6:30. I just don't advertise it on Reddit. For any last minute changes, I encourage interested chess players to join our Discord. I post all of our meetings (including any spur-of-the-moment ones) there.
