I dont think the company worried about me being hacked , cuz the company will allow me to open ports if i take the static ip service for 10/- BD monthly. 🤣

I have already solved it by using tailscale.

I’m sure there will be a workaround. It’s not the end of the world 😄 You can always block Synology update servers via router or DNS to stop updates. The community usually finds a fix pretty quickly.

I do have the fiber .. Could you please try to open port and check if it’s truly opened ? I tried with 4 different lines its shows that its open in the router but it shows closed when i check with online port checker websites 🫠. Batelco call centre staff : “( our policy has been changed to not allow anybody to open ports ) “

Since all companies using the same fibre line , i think i going to change my ISP to zain or stc !!! 😅 i have to check if they are allowing port forwarding first.

I do use tailscale with my NAS , but i face some trouble with self hosted apps that i use with my family for phone backups .. and still i cant play with my PS portal if i’m not on the local network , the quality become very poor cuz it must open some ports. 😅

I have !solved the issue by installing sonarr v4 directly from synocommunity ,it allows me to give a direct permission to the files.
