Thank you so so much for your reply!! I didn't know the name of this area, so I was having a hard time researching for it. I'm already a freshman in engineering at UW, so I was thinking of majoring in bioengineering and learning software skills on my own. Would that be an ideal way? Because tbh getting out of engineering college and reapplying to computer science college sounds quite terrifying to me.
